This bag is very thin; typical of the type used in many companies for typical, light, white-collar worker, throwaways, such as paper. I use this one for my kitchen trash. I never let it fill up more than 3/4 of the way and/or more than about 2 pounds worth - - which may not sound like a lot, but, it is a good weight in my 15-gallon trash bin - - lest it tear or break, and I need room at the top to tie it off. In all the months I've used these bags, I've had only two "disasters," where the bag tore upon removal from the bin, but, I caught it before it spilled on the floor. It isn't like the ones you see in TV commercials, but, if value is as important to you as it is to me, and you don't need a heavier-weight bag, then this will work just fine for you, and will save you lots of $! ... show more

I got these bags because we have these IKEA trash cans that don't fit standard bags. These fit them perfectly and since the trash cans are black, it matches. We use these in our shop/garage. They are really thick do not leak or tear when taking them out of the can and out to the dumpster. We’ve tried a couple of less expensive ones but they weren’t near the quality of these.
