These aren't designed to be the strongest bag on the market, so i wouldn't recommend them for contractor needs. I use them instead of 13-gallon bags in the kitchen. They are big enough to fold over the trash can, so that family members who try to "over-stuff" the garbage bag - can't. There is enough bag folded over so that that i can always tie off the trash, and never worry. Bag is strong enough to handle the loads. Bags separate easily and consistently. I live where we have to put our trash in the car and drive it to a refuse disposal "center". I don't need to double-bag kitchen trash with these bags. ... show more

I purchased these bags due to so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing these bags a 2nd time. The bags come in 4 continuous rolls, which is nice to have for seperate areas of the home, but they are all attached & you must tear them off at the perforations. Not a big deal if they don't rip as you tear them apart. They also are much thinner than I expected, not completely black in color, and you can see the light shining through some areas of the bag, which makes me think the overall construction of these bags is not consistent. I wanted a trash bag that I could use not only for trash, but for storing out of season clothes, etc...so I opted for these based on the reviews that there didn't appear to be an odor with these. I have been finding many brands now reek of a strong chemical smell, and I am sensitive to that, and also don't want the smell & whatever chemicals are on it to transfer to clothing, etc... While I do not detect a strong chemical odor from these bags, there is the slight plastic odor. The bags are gathered open at the bottom which is nice. I have experienced some tearing of the bags when they are full, which is not so nice. I am also not a fan of having to use seperate twist ties to close the bags. These do not come with any closures of any kind, so you must be sure to not overfill them. I'm using them in a 30-gallon trash can, and you can't fill them up entirely. If you're looking for a no frills, cheap plastic trash bag that won't be used for a lot of trash, these bags might be enough for you. To me, it's just not worth the much better cost to get these bags. ... show more

I notice that many users are leaving reviews about how there is no drawstring, or how there is a strong chemical smell? For the price and how much product you get, these trash bags are AMAZING!! We are a family of 3, and between diapers, messes, leftover food, even a broken glass (I have a 2 year old) lol, these babies have never ripped on me. Also a drawstring is more of a luxury, so I don't mind that there isn't one. I have never noticed a chemical smell, but even if there was, these are going in the trash so?? I used to be a name brand girl, only buying Hefty or Glade. But I find that these are so much better than those. Nice and thick, and does the job well. ... show more

Strong, sturdy and reasonably priced...not much to complain about here except that at 36" H they're just a tad short for the bag secure mechanism on the 23-gallon Slim Jim bins so I had to return. If it doesn't have drawstrings you'll likely need at least a 38" H bag for those bins.

I still had bags from a diff't manufacturer who doesn't claim their 30 USG bags are 3-ply to compare to these..... You know what, the 3-ply bags are THINNER than one ply bags! You can see through them! Won't tear? They must be joking! Gave a light tug and the bag was starting to tear .... NO WAY these would hold more than 5lbs without tearing..... Did I mention you can see through them?!? Heck, I have blue bags for recycling that are WAY thicker than these. HORRIBLE! Poor packaging, too.... The rolls come in a box way too big for them, so they move around in the box & unroll during shipping..... If you want to return the things, you have to find a way to repackage them. American made..... C'mon, ppl, this is why folks don't bother with American made. Manufacturer should be ashamed! These are NOT 3-ply bags.... They don't even match the product photos! Never again! Wouldn't trust these to hold leaves! These bags are garbage in more ways than one! Oh, and buyer beware, they will add insult to injury when you find the bags useless.... They'll make you return them for the refund.... Even though the product description and false claims aren't your fault. ... show more
