I bought this to cover a square of unfinished area in my backyard. I already had turf so I wanted to try to match it. This matched pretty close. I will say it doesn’t look as good as the photo in this listing and it’s a little thin but it works for what I needed. Overall product was as described. What matters most is how well you prepare the land/area where the grass will be installed. For our area we had to backfill and grade the land. We installed gravel and then compounded it multiple times to strengthen the durability of the ground before installing the turf. We have pets so we didn’t lay a weed barrier - we were advised that will trap urine if there is an accident on the turf. It does arrive folded like a blanket (as opposed to being rolled) which creates wrinkles in the turf. To offset this, we laid the turf stretched out for two days so it had an opportunity to smooth out before installation. That did the trick! No funky smell or crease lines. I unpacked it myself, being a single female in my late 50s. Once I got it all pulled into place and stretched out to the edges it was perfect, with no fold lines or wrinkles. I let it sit overnight and when I came back out the next day to trim it and fill in the odd spots it had fluffed up! I finished up, edged the flower beds, and filled them with mulch, then admired how great it looked! This area was totally unusable. I grew up in this house and this area has never been used for anything. I want to start off by saying that this shop was extremely generous and I am extremely grateful for the lengths they went to assist me. I can't begin to explain how happy I am with my purchase. While this picture is a little off since I just have it in the middle while it flattens I think it looks great in the short amount of time... I will be adding the raised garden I purchased in addition to a garden shed and this is just the size for it. It's better than the Home Depot turf, easy to install and it hasn't moved so while I bought tape I haven't needed it. Anyway, while the grass is thin it's quite perfect, and between giving the product a solid 5 stars and their customer service a solid 5 stars I can't recommend the Altruistic shop enough! ... show more
