ALTRA Men's Escalante 4 Road Running Shoe

Description

We built the Escalante 4 as a nod to the fan-favorite Escalante 1.5, with FootShape fit, greater flexibility, and a lighter weight. Tackle fast training runs, daily walks, or everyday errands in this streamlined and versatile road-mile destroyer. It’s got an engineered knit upper for a more sock-like and forgiving fit, with a knit tongue, just like the original Escalante. We evolved the rubber midsole for a lighter weight and more flexibility so you can feel connected to the road. A new footbed feels more like the iconic Escalante 1.5 and 2.0, with the same Altra EGO midsole foam for responsiveness and comfort. Move the way you were designed to with a roomy toe box to help your toes move freely and zero drop. How did we pack so much comfort and style into such a simple shoe? Lace it up, take it out, and see for yourself! Connect with the ground and stay comfortable with unique Altra EGO midsole foam. With Altra’s FootShape fit, you get plenty of room to help your toes move freely, with a secure midfoot. FootPod technology in the outsole supports your foot’s flexibility and helps the shoe move naturally with your body’s movement, so you can interact with your environment. Promotes good foot health. Altra Running was founded on an innovative approach to running shoes. An approach that took us from the back room of a specialty running store to the front of the pack on roads and trails across the world. With innovation at our forefront, our founders created our first shoe with the help of a toaster oven. This was the start of our signature shoe construction to help you move naturally and has kept our brand going for a decade while aiming to keep you running. Unleashing human potential by inspiring the world to move naturally is what Altra Running is all about. Our purpose is built around discovery, joy, responsibility, natural movement, and finding your potential. Our wide-lacing system inspired our signature FootShape design to encourage natural movement. While a household toaster oven inspired our founders, FootShape and Balanced Cushioning has inspired thousands of people to unleash their human potential. That’s the foundation of Altra Running: innovative, disruptive thinking.
