    • Why would you want to buy a rebuilt one for 2 1/2 times the price when you can buy a new one?
The price on this exceptional and it was far less than buying a rebuilt one that cost anywhere from $275 plus the $50 for the court charge trade-in. When we took it out of the car to change it, it appears to be exactly the same same OEM model that was in the car from many years before. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to install it in a Toyota, but it has run perfectly and hopefully well last as long as the other one which was a rebuilt one that lasted about four years. Quality product. Not difficult to replace. I went online to view how to vidios. I found one with a diagram of how the serpentine belt goes back on. I found the video to be very helpful. The alternator was the right one and is still working well a year later. I would recommend this product based on my experience. ... show more

Purchased on July 12 of this year. Really thought it would last more than 3 months. Crapped out today Saturday now back to Amazon for another one. Sellers great but the alternator is trash. Have to buy a new belt also. Total waster of a weekend.

This alternator seems good and not as expensive as other options, and it's been working well for me since I installed it in my Toyota Highlander 2008 about 2.5 months ago, now with about 363 more miles on it. My old alternator died, making my battery die while I was driving my Toyota Highlander 2008 with about 155,000 miles on it, and the battery wouldn't charge. I tested for parasitic drain and found it wasn't outputting additional voltage when running. The local auto parts store had a machine that also tested the old alternator and found it failed. (They struggled a bit to mount the old one on their machine and gave up trying to mount this new alternator, but it's been working fine for me. Also the hole on the front (the easy to access one) started a bit small for the 10mm bolt to hold the wires, but it doesn't seem essential.) (Accessing the alternator in this vehicle can be a bit involved but it can be done.) Thanks for the alternator! ... show more

2005 Toyota Avalon touring. Surprisingly good. Only issue I've found is that the automatic part of my sunroof stopped working. Sunroof still works I just have to hold the button. Not bad for a cheap option
