cheap price and seems good quality
Size: 2008-2013 Highlander
Looked good and seemed to be the same weight as the original it was replacing. Works well after install, no issues. Hopefully it lasts! Figured it was worth the risk since all the part houses wanted $300+ and this one was $120. Kind of a pain to install on an RX350. Pro tip: Remove the radiator fan shroud to give work to work the unit out, go in from the bottom through panel behind passenger side wheel to relieve belt tension (put one of the 10mm bolts from the shroud behind wheel into hole in tensioner to hold it free of tension), then go ahead and get the bottom alternator mounting bolt from the bottom. Still takes about 2 hours because of all the stuff you have to take off and put back on.

Stops working within a year

This alternator did fit my 2015 odyssey perfectly. I won’t make you read the whole review before telling you the quality of this item is terrible. And if you are looking for something to last you more than a few months don’t by this. It can quietly and perfectly for 2 days, then started making a constant mechanical “were” ing sound that got louder while accelerating, and also began ticking loudly about a week after install. My Van ran well (excluding the new noises) for about 6 months. Then I started to notice the little signs, things that you only notice when you are very in tune with your vehicle. It took just a second longer to crank when I’d push the button. The lights in the van dimmed if you were using your bright headlights. So I knew what was coming. Then at the year mark (almost exactly) noticeable differences - lights severely dimming when any other battery using device in the vehicle was turned on. Took obvious effort to crank. And then the battery light started to come on randomly and go back off. And today, battery light on constantly, and no “were” or ticking. So I know it’s dead. I guess I’ll be ordering a much more expensive alternator today. Which is very frustrating, not just because of wasted money, but I installed it myself and it took several hours and a solid amount of effort. So yeah.. don’t buy this.

Works in 2017 gmc yukon xl

Installed in a 2017 gmc yukon xl, is working so far, Its only been a couple of days but I will update if anything changes. Everything on the part was where it should be, and was sturdy construction, because i had to beat it into position with a hammer and 2x4. All of my local part shops wanted over 500 dollars for this part in a remanufactured condition, so I was very grateful to find one at this price point. I could replace it 3 more times in the life of the oem locally sourced ,or factory part and still be under budget. Very happy.
