Fit a 2008 Toyota Highlander perfectly. Good price, don't know how long it will last. Difficult installation, but it can be done. Unless you are a very experienced mechanic, make sure you have a full day and lots of good tools (mainly ratchet/extensions/adapters). Watch lots of Youtube videos about it and think about it a lot before you attempt. You'll save multiple hundreds of dollars, especially with less expensive parts (and hopefully they last)! Some good Youtube vids, but watch many of them in addition to these: (A) 3 minutes, "2009 Toyota Highlander 3.5 alternator replacement notes" by Oldslowman (B) 6:40 minutes, "2008-2018 Toyota Highlander Alternator Easy Removal & Replacement (Quick Video)" by MechanicMode (C) 8:22 minutes, "How to replace an alternator in a 2008-2013 Toyota Highlander 3.5l V6" by Do It Yourself Dad) Tips, in no particular order, but watch videos first: (1) Remove dipstick and small exhaust manifold heat shield (with hot hand icon) near alternator for more space. (2) Protect radiator with cardboard. (3) There are 2 main alternator bolts, very hard to get back bolt off the alternator, mostly a space issue. I finally got it off from top, but perhaps can be gotten via side via passenger front tire? (4) Be sure to remove wire clip off alternator bracket (on opposite side of 2 main bolt heads), but don't put the bracket on the new alternator. Very hard to fit the alternator in place amongst the wires, even without the bracket. Bracket is overkill to secure alternator? Could remove radiator hose to get more space, but then coolant spills on pulleys where serpentine belt goes? (5) Would recommend a serpentine belt tensioner tool (I bought BILITOOLS on Amazon) to make things easy. (6) Probably should replace the serpentine belt while you're at it (often has 610 in the part number, I got Duralast 610K7). Again, probably will need to remove the passenger front tire to more easily route the serpentine belt, even just at the end after the new alternator is on. 2008 HIGHLANDER ALTERNATOR BRACKET PICTURE: The included picture is a 2008 Highlander showing the alternator bracket (on the opposite side of the 2 main alternator bolt heads) with the heat shield removed. The bigger arrow is the 12mm bolt that needs to be removed, the smaller arrow is the clip that clips into the bracket (I believe to the crankshaft position sensor?). You DO NOT want to rip that cord out when trying to remove the alternator not realizing it's attached to the bracket! 2008 HIGHLANDER SERPENTINE BELT ROUTING DIAGRAM: Shown from the passenger front side. The "TE" is the tensioner pulley that needs to be "pulled" out of the way with a tool. Notice the routing is pretty easy except for the TE inward path of the belt. Otherwise it goes around the alternator AL, water pump WP, crankshaft CK, and air compressor CC, and just below the idler pulley IP. Hope some of this helps! It took the better part of a day for me, and I have a lot of appropriate tools (mainly different ratchets). Just prepare by watching many videos before attempting. Have a plan.

Super simple replacement. I spent $940.00US 4 years ago on a mechanic shop to replace the original. Well, that was when groceries didn't cost the same amount for a bag of chips; so this time I said "why not, because I can't anyways?". Ordered this one for approx $100 and came in 2 days. That was a month ago and so far 0 problems. I could do this 10 times and still save money.
