Perfect for small areas. I wouldn't recommend this for a large area but works great in small area or when I'm in the hot tub, kayaking or on the water. It's lightweight and compact and easy to pack. Fits into the palm of my small hand. The length of a Toosie Pop sucker. I've bought several different sizes of this brand. This speaker is the best speaker itself. It makes great sounds still even after dipping in the laundry carbonated soda melted water 2 months ago. Plus, I didn't expect this transparent plastic case. This new packing looks very gorgeous, compared with old version, paper case.

WOW just WOW!!! BIG sound in a tiny package. This thing is tiny but is loud and sounds incredible. Easy to use, tiny take everywhere size, sounds great, looks great. Im really blown away how great it sounds considering it's deminutive size and inexpensive price.

No issuses. Connects quickly. Charges quick and plays for five hours on a full charge on the loudest volume. Just be careful where you place it as the bass can make it vibrate off the surface it’s on but it is tougher than it looks. It comes with a hook so it can hang somewhere. I had gotten this to replace the earlier model that had started to stop holding a charge. Lasted a tad longer, but the battery runs down to 10% left in about an hour or so which is what the earlier model was doing. There is NO way to replace the battery without taking it completely apart & risking breaking it all together. Will NOT be getting a third speaker from them. I recommend NOT wasting money on Altec products no matter how affordable they seem to be. ... show more

The only thing I'm disappointed in is the fact mine doesn't turn off if not in use for an extended period of time. The bigger Altec Lansings do. I'm still giving it 5 Stars because if I didn't read the full description it's not their fault.

Bluetooth, buttons are easy: On/Off, vol.-Down & Vol.-Up, easy to hear, ( i don't use it outside, but you can do so, if you want to.) What i love is i'm no longer captive 'buds,' or to a screen for podcasts, or music. It's good enough for music, unless you are a total audiophile... It's better than most car radio's used to be, & def. better than my TV sound ! If you turn the music up too loud on these, the bass will even 'vibe' ! I just got tired of being attached to bt ear-pods or headphones, while inside. These will multi-pair with devices, but not with each other. You don't need it, as they perform solo as a 'stereo' speaker, well enough, since all is 'digital.' Good clairity. Great value, easy to use, really easy functionality. I own two, & i'm buyng one as a gift. Thanks Altec-Lansing for such a great little pocket-sized speaker !!! 💖 ... show more
