I bought this rolling case in May of 2019. As of December, 2023, it’s still going strong. I’m a full-time professional magician who does corporate, social and charity events. This case holds all the props for a 90-minute show that can play on the biggest stages - including a table! I can also pack my iPad which supplies music for my act. The hard side case has proven to protect my gear, some of which is irreplaceable, in some punishing circumstances. The outside pockets hold all sorts of useful items, especially flatter things like cards, signs, and small books. The end pockets hold things I need to reach quickly, and the small zipper pouch inside the lid holds an especially important piece of apparatus with which I close my show. The wheels have worked perfectly on everything from carpet to gravel, and the handle is sturdy enough to allow me to attach a sound system that rides on top of the case itself. It’s a daily workhorse that gets the job done without a fuss and lets me focus on more important things. I haven’t flown with it, but it’s been a constant companion on the road. This bag is fantastic. It hold everything that I could want. This is the second bag like this that I have had the pleasure of owning. There are two side compartments for odds and ends and a nice front compartment for important papers. The inside has lots of room and great dividers (three compartments) to section off different work. It is very tough, too. Someone mentioned that they put too much stuff in it and this caused the plastic clips to lift up. Well, that's not the case here. this case so sturdy. Wheels are nice. You have to break in the top fold but that just takes about a week of good use. Everything seems to be great though. It helps keep me organized and I will definitely buy one again. Draw backs two 1. One reason why this did not get a full 5 stars, is because of the lock. One of the locks third wheel is tight to move. Once set, it will not budge. The other two wheels are fine and the lock on the other side has no problem. The only reason I don't return it is because I use it everyday and it is not a real inconvenience. 2. The only other complaint is that the inside wall on the side of the extending handle is lined with some kind of fabric. This cause you to feel the frame of the extending handle when you go to put in or take out your papers. The opposite wall for the laptop is nice- smooth and firm. However, on my last catalog case, there was a more sturdy wall separating the inside of the case from the frame of the extending carrying handle. the second complaint is quickly made up for the other aspects of versatility that the bag offers. The lock pisses me off, but I just chalk that up to the luck of the draw. If someone else gets a bag lock, then they're just cutting corners. ... show more

I have been a fan of Alpine Swiss bags for decades. During that time I have had two Alpine Swiss laptop bags the last of which has been handed down to my teenage son just this fall. Great quality and loved the durability. Straight up awesome products Contrast 2022: This purchase was my one ask for a Christmas present and a definite let down. Looks sharp enough in the product images but I but when I pulled it from the box I became skeptical about how it would hold up. After opening the lid a couple of times, the "hinge" area on the telescoping handle side of the bag was found to be pretty inflexible and began to show wear after just a few open/closes. This tote was meant to house my work files and devices and was used no more than 10 days from purchase--that is generous. The poor quality construction of this tote is really astounding to me. I expected the same positive experience I have previously had with Alpine Swiss products but, alas, like so many manufacturers it seems that Alpine Swiss product quality has devolved over the decades. I won't belabor the point further. The pictures show what just 10 days of use will do. On the upside, the locks are not only functional, they are really pretty! I guess that is where all the quality was focused... I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS AGAIN and doubt I will be brave enough to make another Alpine Swiss purchase. Oh, so disappointed. ... show more
