After narrowing down the options we chose this stool because the seat cushion for our other choice was reported to flatten too easily, reducing comfort when sitting for any length of time. This one definitely does not have that problem. It is stylish, well made, and comfortable, where my wife is using it to sit at a high table rather than stand to do her work. Assembly is simple, just four supplied screws and wrench to attach the seat to the mounting post. The pneumatic lift mechanism slots into the base To complete the assembly you simply drop the now assembled top onto the lift. The footrest/lift ring is welded to the post so no assembly is required for it. One question I had was could the base damage hardwood or vinyl flooring? I'm pretty sure that's unlikely since the circular metal bottom of the base has a substantial plastic ring on the underside that slightly lifts the metal bottom to keep it from contacting the floor. ... show more

This is a comfortable stool for my makeup room. Easy assembly, less than 5 minutes. This stool deserves a 5 but the lifting mechanism doesn't work correctly. I'm missing the piece that extends from under the chair. It does not easily raise up and down. I must adjust it while seated to get it down and stand to raise it up. That kills the whole chair for me. I plan on adding the missing piece to see if that makes a difference but I doubt it. Will I return it...don't wanna but I'd like it to work appropriately. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is my 5th chair, I just couldnt find the perfect chair that was high but was not a highchair. It is very comfortable like a workchair When touching the chai it resembles leather. It is not huge as you can see, it had t o work in a confined space. These are very nice, we use them as counter stools. They are perfect height at the lowest level and great when the little ones eat over so we can raise it for them. Because the back comes around the seat further it's a little snug on the butt other than that these are great and very easy to put together. Took longer to unbox them. Generally, I have been happy with my Amazon experiences. Learned the hard way on this one. I ordered two of these chairs and they are our second set of pole hydraulic kitchen island chairs. I am a 220 lb. man, and the chairs were rated up to 300 lbs. Easy to assemble but like our first set, which have long been worn out, they are very unstable. A 300-pound person will not be able to use these chairs much less a 220 lb. person. In addition, while sitting in the chair it felt like I was sliding forward. Disappointed for the price paid. These chairs are not returnable. They are made in China, and it costs twice the price of the chairs for postage. Lesson learned. BEWARE. ... show more

So far so good. It looks very nice. Its comfortable. I'm using it for a chair to sit in at my slot machine. I have engineered wood flooring and its not scratching the floors. It has a semi hard rubber ring around the edge of the base. I would buy this again for sure.

Purchased two pack, one item is perfect however the second one has way more play in the seat post and the hydraulic post. Contacted seller and they told me it was because its at the highest height which will make it wobbly due to center of gravity change. While I understand the center of gravity this is completely irrelevant to my issue. The issue Is not with the whole item moving its specific to the hydraulic lift in side the seat post having way to much play in it. Also the other stool has no issues and that claims its a defective part. Since seller is not making this easy to just send me a new seat post and hydraulic I have been forced to modify this to make it work. Not great as this is 3 days old and is not cheap compared to 30 percent of the others! ... show more
