I have taken these as a advanced workout supplement for years now, stacked along with Double Wood's HMB which is short for hydroxymethylbutyrate or ꞵ-hydroxy ꞵ-methylbutyrate. When faced with a physical task, these two combined will up my energy quite noticeably. For boosting power output, a dosage of 300–600 mg, supplemented 30–60 minutes prior to the exertion. For me, there is some cantankerous side effects after they start to wear off (e.g. grumpy and impatient). As of recent, I have weaned back on the Alpha GBC Choline supplement, where there have been concerns have been raised about the potential of alpha-GPC to increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) because it serves as a substrate for the synthesis of trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO) in the gut, and TMAO is associated with adverse cardiovascular outcomes in people with CVD and in mechanistic studies. (J Lab Precis Med. 2020 Apr) An additional 2021 cohort study of more than 12 million participants (at least 50 years old), including 108,877 alpha-GPC users, reported that alpha-GPC use for at least 12 months was associated with an increased risk of stroke over 10 years. Moreover, a 2021 mouse study found that alpha-GPC supplementation promoted atherosclerosis. (Int J Mol Sci. 2021 Dec 15) In summary, the currently available evidence is preliminary in nature, so randomized controlled trials and large cohort studies are needed to confirm these findings. Therefore on the side of caution, I have reduced my intake, where cardiovascular disease is in my family genetics.

I've tried several of the memory supplements but this one works the best for me. I am doing better at remembering things that I should know and recalling names of people I know. That's the best result I could ask for. Hopefully this will continue.

Having done a lot of research on various supplements, I have found that Alpha-GPC is one of the strongest and most effective of the choline supplements. I bought this particular supplement for both my mother and I because pharmaceutical grade means that there are less fillers, and the product is more "pure". My mother gets 1200 mg per day because she has dementia, and this is the effective dose used in studies. For her, this is split into two. So she gets 600 mg twice a day. I take 600 mg once a day. Almost immediately, I noticed an increase in energy and I felt more mentally in-tune. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that this effect was going away and I actually was feeling more tired than before. With some research, I found out that Uridine should also be taken with Alpha-GPC as a choline regulator. So I bought the Uridine in this brand, and started taking 300 mg per day. That did it. The energy came back, and I am feeling really good. My mother is getting 300 mg twice a day of the Uridine. These supplements should be taken in conjunction with an Omega-3 supplement for effectiveness. UPDATE 11/22/16 I have changed the supplements for my mother and myself so that we are both taking multi-supplements that include most of the individual ones we were taking. Although I continued use of Alpha GPC and Uridine for my mother, I stopped taking them. I started feeling tired all the time, and my level of ambition dropped dramatically. I went on like this for a few months, and then started wondering why I felt tired so much when my sleep patterns hadn't change and my stress level in taking care of my mother was the same. One day, I decided to try taking Alpha GPC and Uridine again (2 Alpha GPC and 1 Uridine daily). Within a couple of days, my energy level increased and I feel more awake. This also seemed to improve my emotional state because I feel better. Since I made no other changes, I have to assume that these supplements have helped improve my energy level.
