I purchased this Alpcour Portable Toilet for my little Chalet camper for several reasons. First was the height. It is perfect! No more almost falling to the floor due to the low height of my old one. It's also very stable. I liked the idea of the piston type flusher vs the bellows on my old one. The bellows, being made of plastic eventually broke off on the old one. The other thing I really like is the spout for emptying it, so much easier and less chance of splashing. Although I did not hook up the hose for rinsing the bowl on my first trip out with it I like the idea and will try it next time. I did think the price was a bit high, however after using it I find it is worth every penny and with Prime shipping it came the next day! Others I looked at would have taken 2 weeks! Thanks for a great product!

Recommend not putting tp in here so it doesn't stick in the bottom of the tank but there was no smell it was secure easy to empty and lasted me a months worth of pee. We had to number 2 once in it and that worked fine too. The flushing mechanism was great and has a water tank on top to wet flush as well as use the bidet which is just a spray nozzle. Recommend flushing with lid closed so you don't get splash back from the pressure. Best travel toilet worth every penny. I used this in my van and it didn't budge

So far I like this portable camping toilet. I was recently diagnosed with heart failure and my asthma is acting up on me again and I needed a toilet so in the middle of the night I'm not climbing up and down my stairs. I'm surprised at the sturdiness, it holds my weight of 290 lbs. I was also surprised about the height of this camping toilet it is only about a few inches short of a regular house toilet but it's usable, hey a saying in my family is "beggars can't be choosy" and I'm not choosy, I'm grateful. No leakage detected so far and that's good because it's in my old bathroom upstairs that my landlord took out several years before I moved in and there is no central air in this old house. So far I haven't noticed any smells coming from the toilet especially with the heat wave going through Ohio right now and that's also a plus. This toilet is way worth it's value.

Trying to clean this after using it for defecating would be an absolute nightmare. There is no way to get inside of it other than through the narrow spout and top hole. Not to gross you out, but any crust that develops on the walls of the tank will basically stay there stinking forever. For pee pee, it works great. No odor whatsoever. The pump mechanism is a little stiff but really moves the water to clean the bowl. The upper portion holds quite a lot of water for flushing and it is quite easy to separate the top from the tank and empty and rinse out using a little white vinegar. Very compact.

Expectations and First Impressions Purchased nearly a year ago, I mainly wanted a portable toilet that would help my toddler feel comfortable on camping trips—essentially a “home potty” in the great outdoors. I also hoped it would control odors well and be relatively hassle-free to use and clean. Performance Evaluation This Alpcour portable toilet truly delivered! It quickly became an essential part of our camping kit and feels like a big upgrade, turning basic camping into more of a glamping experience. The odor control is excellent when you use proper treatment chemicals. There were no lingering smells, which is honestly the biggest win for our family. Cleaning is easier than expected. As long as you have access to a proper disposal location (most campgrounds or travel stops provide these), the process is straightforward and reasonably sanitary. The built-in pour spout and washing sprayer help a lot. The only drawback is the weight—once the waste tank is full, it gets pretty heavy. Also, this is not a tiny accessory; it does take up a fair amount of space in the trunk.
