Very comfortable. The leather is very soft. The insole is very comfortable. They look very good for a dress/casual type shoe. Unique looking. Ordered some colored dress laces to use with them. I wear either a 9 D or 9.5 D in all my shoes. I first ordered a 9 D, but it was too tight. The 9.5 D fit perfectly with thinner socks. Very impressed. I may order a second pair with a custom sole in the near future so I’ll have two pairs.

I love these boots. They’re made in the USA if that’s still important. I used to think it was, but lately, I’ve been more satisfied with my imported boots than the ones that are made in the USA. It seems like the imported ones are the same quality for half the price. All Allen Edmonds are way overpriced but everything is nowadays. I think Allen Edmonds is as good as you can get without buying a pair custom made for you.

I own 9 pairs of Allen Edmonds and these are by far the most comfortable out of the box of all of them. Elevated casual boot that pairs well with jeans or chinos. Great for fall weather.

Very good looking boots, and take little time to break in. A better looking boot than the Higgins Mill, Observations: 1) Comes up shorter around the ankle than most AE boots. 2) the leather is thick and the boots are on the heavy side. 3) The granite finish is more brown/black. 4) the black leather finish has nice texturing and makes the boots have a clear look of an upper-end brand

Poor quality boots received. The leather was scuffed and tinted various differing shades. Also had loose threads and sole welt that was pulling away. These didn't have the "factory seconds" mark, but no way they could have been first run and passed inspection. I bet the factory seconds are better quality than what I received.

To me a boot is meant to be: 1. Supportive 2. Protective 3. Rugged This boot simply ticks all those boxes It is a light and soft boot, that, to me, is just the right height, it isn't so high that you feel overly buckled up, but it's high enough to offer good support, the footbed is a perfect blend of stiff and soft, and Dainite soles are always great. The tongue is gusseted so no water/debris can make it's way in, kudu leather is almost like the mithril of boots, it's soft flexible and beautiful, while being pretty thick and tough, I know nothing else quite like it. I find American craftsmanship in general, and AE shoes and boots in particular, much like Cadillac, meaning while you may find better attention to detail amongst the European counterparts, on the practical side you're covered, that's the case here too, if I'd be nit picky I could find what to complain about, there was a drop of glue on the leather on one shoe, the one side of the tongue on the one shoe has the mark of the end of the hide, and I could go on, and I must say that had I bought these for the 500$ they cost when not on sale, all this would've been annoying to say the least, but practically these boots rock nonetheless. The size is a little roomier than my AE dress shoes but close enough, with a pair of thicker socks (get Don Tough!) they're a perfect fit. And finally, this type of footwear can only be tested by time, so we'll have to wait and see... So far so good!
