I bought this to replace a 40 aluminum case that I had been using to carry portable ham radio gear and related cables, etc. Over the years I'd outgrown the old case and was looking for something that was sturdy & could withstand rough conditions while still protecting my gear. This case fit the bill perfectly. It has a large interior space with ample foam padding that can be customized to fit your particular need. I simply took out the inner pad and put my gear on top of the remaining pad so that when I close the case the eggshell padding held my gear in place. This is an exceptionally heavy duty well-designed case that could fit just about every need from carrying camera equipment to electronics or other objects. It would make the perfect carry-on if you need to travel with whatever you care to put in the case and it has places where you can lock the case with small padlocks which I found useful. Great value for the money. Highly recommended.

It's awesome for what I got it for. I bought this to replace my AKG Drum Set Session 1 Microphone Set's case. The latch did not hold when I took it out on gigs. I like the mics, and I do not want to spend more on a higher-end set with a better case at this time, so, I got this to solve the issue, it was really hard to find a close match to the measurements, but I just had to cut a bit of the original foam and the AKG's case foam fitted right the, so no cutting or making shapes for the mics. I have not taken it out yet, but only by the looks, I'd say the latches will hold.

nice and thin overall, easier to carry than the super wide size of my other pistol cases. I just keep my AP16 air pistol in mine. Latches are real nice too. For range trips where I don't need 4 inches of foam on all sides to protect against off-road vehicle rollover or Alaskan bush pilot "landing mishaps" this case is better. I think I'll get a couple more for my cowboy pistols. I wish they made this exact case but in rifle length. have not tested nor plan to test water resistance.

As much as I really do like this case...(I keep my laptop in it) I would like for this company to allow for replacement foam orders. Once you customize the foam to fit your product, you cannot really 'change your mind' and re-shape it. I originally customized the foam to fit the laptop and another corner area for my charging cord- but then realized that was completely unnecessary- as the charging cord easily fits by laying it on top of laptop. But when I tried to reconfigure the customized area- any foam pieces that had been torn loose- will never again fit tightly in shape. So, I have to keep re-adjusting those odd pre-torn foam pieces. Im trying to ignore the annoyance of that for now. Eventually I may have to get another one (what a waste to have to do that though) and be extra careful when customizing the foam.

My cat was like a best friend, and when he passed away at on December 12th, 2021 at age sixteen, I didn't want to just wrap him in an old towel. So instead, I got the Durabox! I lined the bottom with 5 pounds of dessicant, put in the one-inch foam and a nice little blanket, then laid my cat in there, along with a stainless steel cylinder with photographs, both printed, and on SDcard format. I dug five feet into the hill until I hit sand layer and buried him. Then, I put an antique mill stone over his grave. I figure that if someone ever finds that case in ten thousand years, it's going to make headlines somewhere. Future archaeologists around December 12th, on the year 12121, are probably going to postulate that we were all cat worshippers or something weird. But then again, I buried my cat in a Durabox. So maybe they won't be too far off in their guesses.
