    • Great Introductory Wax! Made in USA
For about $2.00 an ounce, this stuff is great! I was looking for a budget universal wax and this is an impressive option. There are a million wax brand opinions out there but mine is that Super Hot Sauce (SHS) is a great way to keep waxing your skis cheaply and simply. No need for 10 different color coded waxes. It’s also a good introductory wax if you are new to ski waxing. It comes in a 12 ounce brick so you have plenty to screw around with. (It took me a while to figure out how to use less wax). I also found that you can crayon on this wax although it may not be as effective as other waxes. Lastly it works. I noticed a big difference in performance over the universal waxes that the local ski shops use. For example I took up a pair of freshly waxed skis with SHS last weekend. The day started out in single degree temps and ended in the 20s. It performed well all day. SHS was slippery in the powder and especially on the groomers. I can’t wait to try the FC739: It’s only $2.75 per ounce on Amazon. Made in USA! Not Europe or China. ... show more

    • Best wax I've used in a long time.
This wax is great. It goes online warm butter and scrapes off fairly smooth and easy as well. I had concerns about the longevity on the board because it was so soft feeling when I scraped it off. But I took my board on a 3 day trip to Sugarloaf ME, and I didn't need to re apply it. Normally I'd wax at least once on a 3 day trip. But it just wasn't needed. Full disclosure, 3rd day was very short! I've used in wide temp range also. Nearly the full claimed spectrum of Temps were covered and its been pretty remarkable to be honest. I've used tons of different waxes over 30 years, and this was by far the truest all Temps I've tried. And FAST!! This wax is speedy. It's non flouro but you would never know that. Its a shame that this wax is possibly going to disappear forever. I'm going to buy a much as I can. ... show more

I ski like 30 hours a week and coach racing. I use race wax for my kids skis, but this is what I use on my skis, it’s very affordable, easy to apply and scrape, keeps the bases healthy and slides well in all temps. Great wax for recreational skiers, coaches, instructors, ski patrol etc.

    • Perfectly fine wax for MOST conditions -- but not ALL conditions.
This is actually pretty good wax and works well in a wide range of conditions and I'm not unhappy with it. But it does not work in ALL conditions as advertised. Curiously there seems to be an intermediate (pretty warm) temperature where it doesn't do that well. This temperature is just before the snow transitions from warm "snow" to spring "corn". I found myself aiming for the slush patches and doing the usual slide-brake-slide-brake-slide-brake that keeps us all on our toes when that wax isn't that good... But outside of that, it works pretty well from temps from the low teens (F, not C) all the way to fairly far above freezing -- just not to near that snow-to-corn transition.     • Fast wax, lasts me about 5 full days of skiing.
Great wax, very fast in normal winter conditions. I did notice some sticking and slowing issues when I used the wax in 2F. Sizeable amount of wax for the price. After 5 full days of skiing the bases near the edges became cloudy and needed a new application of wax.

This wax works well in a wide range of snow conditions and temperatures. I don't plan to use any other type of wax.

    • Great Value!!!!
Let's be serious, I can't be bothered messing around with a bunch of different temperature waxes, not when I ride close to 100 days a season and have 4 different snowboards to maintain. I just use this wax on all of them and go about my day. I'm not a speed demon or a racer so I'm not concerned with having the fasted possible wax. I can easily get 6-8 days of use out of each hot wax application on sintered bases, sometimes more depending on conditions, and I've never felt I couldn't go as fast as I wanted or that the wax was slowing me down. Let's just say that if your using this and finding you can't keep up with your friends, it's probably not the wax that's the problem.... Anyways, best of all is the VALUE!!! 20 bucks for a huge brick that seriously lasted me 3 seasons, so that's like 300 days of riding for me. This brick is like 4 times the size of any wax block that you would find in a ski shop for the same, if not higher, price. If you want just an all around good wax for a great value there's no better option than this. I've just bought my 2nd one to set me up for the next 3 seasons! ... show more
