I got this for my front door to replace an older model of ring doorbell. I’m really impressed with the video quality much much better than my old one and faster response too. At night I have outside garage light and pathway lights, the picture from my ring doorbell is so nice and clear and in color . Love ours. It captures pretty great during the day and alright at night. It missed a package delivery so not sure why but everyone else its caught on video. I live in an apartment and this could have been a problematic purchase since there is no way to prevent it from pointing it at the front doors of two neighbors. Thanks to this units ability to map out incremental spaces that's turned out to be a non-issue. Using it's GPS feature during setup, I was able to mark a space so the unit only "sees" the space between my front door and the edge of the walkway that tenants from 8 units use all day. It is not catching neighbors coming and going, opening doors, or moving around their apartments - it's only catching someone moving in the limited space I was able to set up. Both day and night view in color are good enough to use as defaults. The hardest part, since this model is only on the market for a couple months, was finding a "compatible" mounting case. The key to note is it matches the size of the last generation model perfectly and you can use mounts for that model with this one. I am very happy with this purchase so far. I upgraded from the video doorbell 2 in hopes of clearer videos as well as some of the newer features. However, with the latest version, Doorbell Pro, the image is now blurry unless a person is directly in front of the camera/doorbell. Do you want to identify someone with your doorbell camera and are hoping this will allow you to? NOPE, guess again. Not unless they are right in front of it and facing the correct direction. (Which really defeats the purpose) When using live view, both with and without people, everything except what is directly in front of the doorbell is blurry. Trees blurry, cars blurry, lawn blurry… you get the picture. Well unless you are trying to get the picture from the doorbell.. then you won’t! The color vision at night is a nice additional, but again the person etc. is blurry unless then are right in front of the camera and even then clarity is limited to when they are in front of the doorbell. For something so expensive, that is a “NEWER” version, you would expect for improved image quality. This now leaves me in a predicament as I planned, and actually did, give my old camera to my parents but given the horrible recordings I am now reconsidering it or will need to find a different camera doorbell. Even if that means going with a different brand. What a huge disappointment and waste of money. ... show more

The picture is very clear. I love the look of them. The reason for the three stars, is it would not alert me at all for anything or anyone. I could stand in front of it waving and/or just standing there and it would never let me know. If it did do any notifications, it was a huge delay. I just didn't feel safe with it, when I bought it for the sole purpose of being notified if something is going on. I did speak with technical support and customer service. We went from first generation doorbell to this one! And it’s a total game changer! The quality is impeccable! 10/10! The battery life is better! The connectivity to WiFi wasn’t great. We had to buy a chime doorbell so our WiFi signal to the doorbell was stronger. Our house isn’t that big at all so there shouldn’t have been a reason it didn’t have strong signal without the chime. So that’s my only complaint. I’d give it a 9/10 total! Definitely worth buying!! ... show more
