I did not expect this to be plastic. Seems it would be sturdier to hold the weight of 44 knives! Still, it is a gift and I hope they will not think less of the gift.

Overall it keeps the knives securely in place. There are only 2 things I don't care for... first thing is that the center flap is kind of more flimsy than i would like it to be. only thin light knives should be stored on the center flap.. oh also the bands around the moving middle flap are smaller than the ones attached to either cover. The other thing is how the zipper is, i feel that there should be 2 zippers, that way if you just have this thing sitting on your shelf as a means to keep all your knives in one place like I do, then you don't want the handle facing out, there should be 2 zippers like a luggage bag ... show more

I just wish the knife pockets were a little larger. But very sturdy, clean case. Some case knifes won’t fit, but practically fits a good majority. The center divider is a little flimsy, but still works well!

Nice case but the holding positions aren't designed for larger folders (not enough space to utilize all the spots and elastic tension isn't strong enough for the larger, heavier knives). Larger folders I'm defining as 3.5" blades and especially larger. Better for smaller folders.

I have a full knife collection and didn't like storing them in plastic tubs. The first one was a gift and it worked out so well that I bought another one. Very compact storage for a large number of pocket knives. Not sure how long the elastic straps will last, but for now it appears to be a good urchase. ... show more
