  • They'll fail. Every single one.
I must sincerely apologize for my previous review of this item which was based on the outcome of a flash mode setting in Arduino IDE which would successfully flash, seem to work, then the boards would crash out and become unflashable without double button press booting. Never ever let Arduino flash these in QIO mode. DIO ONLY!!! It likes to default to that for some reason. I only use it to rapid develop new modules with examples for testing before deployment in a system. Which is where this issue occurred... I was not the boards fault. They are solid, stable, and quite awesome. In my defense even AIs analysis of the behavior and error logs concluded an internal failure of the ROM. Human intuition found the problem. ... show more

  • Works great after setting upload baud rate to 115200 in the Arduino IDE
After setting the upload baud rate to 115200 I have had no issues loading code onto the board. Great for rapid prototyping. I will buy more of these when I have need in the future. I also have had no issues using other platforms to interface with the board. VS Code and CLion both work fine.

  • DOA + Shipping damage Bent Pins, Won't Flash, Won't boot
2 Boards have bent headers from being in a bubble packet with a tiny piece of foam on one side being all the protection. 2 boards won't flash. The 2 boards that will flash wont post a blink program, they are stuck in a boot loop. Would not recommend.

  • These boards look nice but are very buggy
These ESP32 boards have problems! Out of the 4 I bought I tried 2 which both are very flaky with various problems when trying to load them. FAIL out of maybe 15 tries to load even a simple BLINK sketch with the Arduino IDE it Might have loaded once! Very unreliable. There is very little if any support. I have searched over many sites and tried various "Fixed" which DO NOT work for these boards! I am reluctant to open the last two packages in the hopes I might get my money back for some of them! ... show more
