Needed a replacement 4k remote for my fire stick. Gets a 5 star for the manner in which I got mine (let's not get into that, I don't have the wherewithal) and the fact it pairs with "dumb TV's" There's nothing "enhanced" about it though. It's the same remote you get from the 3rd party for 1/3rd of the price. The only enhanced aspect for me is that it works with my dumb TV and NONE of the 3rd party remotes do, which is appalling. One shouldn't be forced to buy $30 replacement remotes when they used to be made by 3rd parties for a fraction. I think we're paying for the "enhanced packaging" because the Amazon packaging was much more involved and actually came with booklets when one can easily Google or be guided by a setup. It's value for price is a bit off, it's as easy to use as the factory remote because it IS the factory remote. If you're wondering why I got a 4k fire stick with a dumb TV (no 4k), I got it for the faster processing speeds for Luna gaming compared to the older fire sticks I had. Cloud gaming needs a decent system to run off of and I read the 4k system was better for it. I'm guessing the 3rd party remote makers didn't assume there'd be people like me out there, or not enough of us. I don't know why this review wants me to comment on how it fits, that's pretty funny. I guess it fits my hand just fine? It fits my decor? It fits my tv? Lol

Bought this because I didn't want to get a knock off and needed to replace the remote I had because my toddler is pure destruction. The day I got the replacement, I put the batteries in and followed the instructions how to pair it with my FireStick 4k. Didn't work. Tried the second way, still didnt work. Disconnected the stick, waited 60 seconds, plugged it back in, restarted the new remote, held down the home button for 10 seconds and still nothing. I did it three times unsuccessfully. I've ordered a replacement hoping maybe it was just this remote. Will come back for an update. For now, it's a one star.

For a decent price, these are reliable, built well, sized to fit your hand and yet take up little space in a drawer or on the counter. It's a compact, intuitive design which offers a number of selection choices. I have one of the 15" Echo Show devices on my nightstand and one mounted over my kitchen sink. I can watch Amazon, Peacock, Amazon Music, YouTube, and weather reports as I wish. Nice to stay informed or be entertained whilst cooking, baking, prepping foods, or doing a few dishes...

Great! When it works. I have come to the conclusion that even though these remotes are supposed to be the same and work the same, they are not created equal. I have a puppy that has a remote obsession. He thinks it is funny that if you leave the remote unattended, he will come snatch it away from you and destroy it with his teeth. So this purchase is replacing the one he destroyed and left in pieces yesterday. Luckily, he doesn't swallow them. He is smart enough for that. So I have gone through many purchases of these. And the funny thing is, some of them have worked great, for whatever length of time I have remembered to keep it away from my Australian Shepherd puppy, and others just don't work right off the bat, right out of the package. It is a toss up if the technology works like it is supposed to when you get it. I have had some that insist on doing updates, and then freeze and crash while doing them, and some that just won't sync to my FireStick. This one, for example, I got it synced up to my tv last night, and it worked great! I was pretty excited I got a good one. This morning, the batteries were dead. Changed batteries, and remote no longer worked with my tv. Got it re-synced, and batteries were dead in 10 minutes. So this one eats and drains batteries for whatever reason. You have a 50/50 shot at getting a working unit.
