The type of desk you purchase will depend on what you put on it. I have a larger gaming laptop, so I got the 39in. I have enough space for my laptop and a few additional items. The desk is super easy to unfold and is incredibly sturdy. On that note I can 100% confirm that you do not have to do any assembly. This is a relief because I am learning disabled and have a difficult time with complicated assembly instructions (gets very overwhelming). This quality was also great. The birch wood looks clean and stunning (as a bonus, the white legs match my office chair)! This type of desk is also great if you are on the move a lot or need something simpler and more compact. Not only does it have no having to deal with putting it together, which as a blind person, I find absolutely frustrating. But it sets up easily. It’s sturdy, it’s easy to put together and take apart if needed, and I am in fact so pleased with this desk, I have ordered three more of this size and one of the larger.
