Disassembly: I’ll start off by saying if your gonna do this swap without professional help, have a lot of patience. The bumper removal was pretty easy, but removing the head lights was a lot of pain. (Be careful with the bumper removal, I broke two clips but I don’t know where they go, and I don’t really care as long as it goes on right) It doesn’t help that I didn’t remove my wheels for the installation. I also didn’t jack up my car. If you were wondering though, under all these conditions, it is possible. If your not going to remove your tires, I recommended unscrewing all the screws to the wheel well liner for maximum wiggle room possible. Trust me, your gonna need it. REMOVE THE BOTTOM TWO SCREWS TO THE HEADLIGHT BEFORE THE TOP TWO! You will save your self so much pain. Now is a great time to mention you should have someone else for this installation. The bottom two bolt assemblies are so awful to remove. My method was to use a T30 wrench to unscrew while holding the square nut from the back with vice grips. The hardest part about removing the bolts is that the square nut in the back will move with your screw. Just lift up the cover on the square nut a bit with a screwdriver, the clamp on the vice grips with the might of zeus. With a little time, it came out. Quality: As for the actual headlights, I’m very impressed with the quality. The reviews kinda scared me because some were so negative, but my headlight quality was almost perfect. The only issue I had was one of my headlights was missing the bolt assembly. This wasn’t really a problem though because I just took off one from the old headlight. There is also a small piece of what looks like styrofoam stuck to the inside of the headlight, which isn’t too terrible, just a small annoyance. I recommend fully inspecting your headlights before installation and comparing the two to make sure nothing is missing or no wires are frayed. Brightness: As far as the brightness goes, you won’t be disappointed. The DRL’s are really bright and visible in any light condition, and the low beams have great range. Adjustment: One problem I encountered was adjusting the headlights. When I turned them on after completing the assembly, one was completely way higher than the other. I recommend waiting to reassemble your bumper and close everything up till you fully adjust your lights. The adjustment screws are a tight squeeze so I recommended a really stubby philips head screwdriver, or a phillips head attachment for your wrench. Please adjust your headlights for your sake and the sake of everyone else on the road. Remember these are projector lights, so they’re gonna be BRIGHT. I know people like to use exact perfect measurements to adjust, but I didn’t. I just shined them on my garage door with trial and error till they were level and below the waist. Coding: A lot of people have trouble with error codes showing after swapping from halogen to LED. To stop this, use bimmercode to change your values to LED in Front Electronic Module. If you’ve never used bimmercode, watch an instructional video. All your gonna need is the bimmercode app and a an bluetooth obd port adapter. Extra: In the third picture you can see the resistor blocks i taped to the corner of my engine bay. I wasn’t really sure where to place them but I threw them in there and it seems to be a good fit. Conclusion: Yes it’ll be a hard process to remove the headlights, but I think it’s worth it. upgrading from halogen is a great decision. I think these headlights are a great plug and play option. No issues with the headlights have been encountered yet, but I will update with any changes. Due to the missing part, and styrofoam in the light, my real review would be a 4.5, but the adjustment being a little harder than it should, brings it down to a 4, but the exceptional quality is a 5.

Purchased this product for my son’s bday! Finally got them installed and they didn’t work! They worked for a day, then finally after several months of going back and forth we got replacement! Well same thing! The lights are junk and do not work. There response is they do not have mechanic! I mean would they like the bill from 2 installations of headlights and the outrageous price I paid for complete junk! Also, description said compatible for the car and now it says it’s not. As a company you would think you would offer some kind of exchange or some money back, but nope! It’s too bad so sad for the buyer!! Never again nor would I recommend! I will post video of the junk soon!

UPDATE: When I first received both headlights, the passenger side DRL was partially out. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement. A few months later and but less than a year later, the driver side headlight DRL went partially out as well (as seen on the picture). This time, the company refused to help due to it being past the return or refund time frame. With that being said, quality is not great. They look awesome when operating properly but it's not for long that they do. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Had issues with one of the headlights but the company took care of it and made it right!

This headlight is garbage. The passenger side went out. The seller wouldn’t even take a return. I paid Over $500 for this headlight and it’s total garbage stay away from this product made by Akkon. This light will not last six months, it went out in five months, garbage total garbage
