I've struggled to find modern tactile switches that I both enjoy using and actually consider tactile. These are finally an exception to that. The Jelly Purple switches have a pleasant round, pronounced tactile bump and a rather loud and full bottom-out sound. The keyboard I'm using them in right now is quite cheap and doesn't sound great, but I'm sure they will really shine in a nicer board. I love the feeling of these. Very light force needed, without any accidental presses. Smooth feeling, nice sound, packaged well, and they all fit well. Overall very satisfied with these. I was only planning to replace the main keys but bought more after trying. These replaced the VS II switches on the v84 keyboard. These switches injected new life into my keyboard! Sound: These switches have a sound signature that I would describe as "marbly" when combined with a set of doubleshot PBT cherry profile keycaps. Weight: They had the right balance between lightness and heaviness, and my fingers have not felt fatigued after extended typing sessions. Smoothness: Out of the box they were very smooth and required no extra lubrication. Packaging: They come packaged in a thin box with each switch given their own space in a tray. They're each were held very securely, but that makes it a little hard to remove the switches from their slots. Every switch was in good condition and there were no bent pins. the piano switches are so amazing. don't even have to lube them. they're so smooth. they sound so creamy but i paired mine with jelly pom keycaps which give it a creamy pop sound. these are EXACTLY like the banana splits but so much more affordable and but sound and feel better. since banana splits have to be lubed, it's not really worth it - the piano switches stock sound is what the banana splits sound like after lubing all of them - but the piano switches deliver a creamier and popier sound and smoother typing experiience. these are definitely the way to go if you're wanting banana splits. ... show more

I am not super fluent when it comes to mechanical keyboards but I have built half a dozen in my time. I purchased these to replace the stock red switches in my keychron k2. There is an apparent sound difference of course, and it provided the sound I was going for! They are pre-lubed which is always appreciated and are a great price for the quality. It sounds perfect if you're into thicker, quieter clicks for your keyboards. However, there really aren't any instructions on how to install and it only includes the switches and a key puller. If you'd like to mod it with lube you need to use your own or buy it separately. The highlight is that the chances of getting a dud are super low. 44/45 worked for me with only one dead switch which is awesome in my book. ... show more

This is one of the best creamy sounding switch for the such low price of this switch. It is a 5 pin box style switch this makes up for its sturdy fit and low stem wobble. You could lube or not lube this switch it is smooth no matter what lubeing the switch will just make the already smooth switch silky smooth.     • Amazing switches - (Akko Jelly Purples)

The tactility on these!!!! If you are used to membranes and just getting into mechanicals, i reccomend the Akko jelly purples! The spring is a little heavier, but they're so tactile without being too much. They are a little scratchy and pingy out of the box but that was easily fixed with some lube on the spring and stem (AVOID THE LEGS!!!! YOU MAY LOSE SOME TACTILITY!!!!! LUBE TACTILES AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!) I really like the look of them, and the rgb cut out part is nice! Also, with these my northfacing pcb didn't have any interference between cherry profile keycaps and the led (an apparently well-lamented issue in the enthusiast space) so that was nice! I guess the stems are longer? Not quite sure. They don't wobble and they are so amazing to type with <3 love these switches and will likely purchase more akko switches in the future. ... show more
