The media could not be loaded. I'm not sure where I first heard about these switches, but when I saw the price I knew I had to give them a shot. Stock they sound pretty good, minimal spring, no factory lube. When these were lubed, however, they really started to shine. I would consider them to have a "higher" pitch compared to my Black Inks, but the actuation is smooth and typing is a pleasure. I would definitely recommend these switches for anyone on a budget or someone that is looking to try out another brand of switches ... show more

    • Really amazing stock tactiles

I tried the ocean blues stock and they felt really good. I lubed a few of them and I think it makes them smoother, but less tactile. I personally prefer them stock over lubed but that may be because I applied too much to them. The matcha greens and rose reds though are 100% worth lubing, the difference in smoothness was noticeable. They are already pretty smooth stock but I found that they had a decent bit of spring ping (maybe only for my batch?). After lubing them the ping was gone and they were really nice. I also have gat milky yellows and compared to the matcha green and rose reds, the yellows have a deeper sound while the greens and reds were smoother but not as deep. It comes down to smoothness or deeper sound. Personally, I think the yellows are still a really good option but if you want something less scratchy and smoother, the greens and reds are good options. Overall, I think all three are really good picks and you can't go wrong with any of them. ... show more

I was impressed with these switches right from the initial unboxing. Not that I've bought a wide variety of switches, but these were by far the best packaged -- and also the cheapest. When it comes to feel, these switches are really great in their stock form. To compare, I've got two Gateron linears (Ink Yellow, and Ink Black Silent), Kailh Box Reds, and Giant V3s (JWK recolors). These were smoother than just about all of them in stock form. But impressively, they were also the ones with the least spring ping in stock form. (The JWKs were maybe the next closest.) I have these switches installed on a KBDFans D65 (gasket mount aluminum board) with an FR4 plate, and cubic profile Tai-hao keycaps. In completely stock form (both keyboard and switches), these switches are very high pitched, and I find them to have quite a snap on the bottom and topping out. Clacky, not thocky. I do think the sound and feel benefit from lube -- though more the sound than the feel, since they were already so smooth. With a very light application of 205g0 to the bottom housing and stem, and oil on the springs, the sound gets slightly deeper and softer (and the spring ping disappears). But I don't think these changes are as substantial as they were on other switches of mine (especially the scratchier switches). I did try filming these with TX keyboards films; but the housing is way too tight and I wasn't able to close the switches. Suffice it to say, you don't need to film them. Something to note is that RGB (if your board has it) *will* shine through; but, it will be slightly darker and tinted green. I tried to photograph examples of this from my own board. This didn't matter to me, but if RGB is important to you then maybe this isn't the best switch to use -- though I still think it shines through great and I can still easily tell the colors apart. Another minor thing to note: these use the Kailh box switch-style clips on the housing -- HOWEVER, they are slightly narrower than my actual Kailh Box Reds. I had pry one side at a time with my opener. Still relatively easy to do, so I didn't consider this a negative. Finally, a fun little bonus: the rather incredible packaging that these switches come in can serve as a decent lube station for the housing. I lubed about thirty of the switches this way. Definitely pleased with these switches, and happy to buy Akko switches going forward. They are really a fantastic deal. ... show more

For the price that these sold, you get a tremendous value. I would rate these switches on par with the offerings from Durock and Zeal but at a substantially lower price. To begin, the packaging for these switches are top notch. Nice durable cardboard boxes with good quality graphics and brand printing. Inside the box is a plastic tray which houses and protects each individual switch. As you can imagine, each switch was pristine and not a bent pin in sight. The same couldn't be said for ordering bulk from other keyboard storefronts who would ship switch in loose plastic bags! Onto the switches themselves. The tactility is less than a Durock T1 but much more than a Halo Clear or True. Its a nice smooth bump but very noticeable and the fact that these switches use a very light spring, these switches are ergonomic and easy to type on. Stock, these switches have little scratchiness, but nothing that can't be fixed with some lubricant, which these switches take nicely. If you are building a keyboard and like tactiles, do consider this as an option, because at this price they are extremely hard to beat! ... show more

These switches are fantastic and very well made. I have filmed every switch I have used and I was planning on filming these but they are made too well. The tolerances are too good to accept even my thinnest films. I make my own films using a vinyl cutter. My thinnest films are just standard vinyl which is about half as thick as normal films and they wouldn't fit. These switches are fantastic out of the box and don't even need lube. I did lube them though to see if it would make them better. it does but it might not be worth the time for everyone. I used Trybosys 3203 which is perfect for tactile switches like the Ocean Blues. If you want to lube the linears I would use Tribosys 3204 or Krytox 205g0. My initial order of 90(2 packs) was so good I bought 2 more. And I have 2 more coming from China too. ... show more

I really like them! I lubed them up for my girlfriend's 65% keyboard, and I'm very happy with how they sound! They open with a kailh style opener, not MX. And they're 3 prong, not 5. They're tactile, but not overly strong. Considering how cheap they are and how they sound and feel very nice after lubing and putting them in a nice set of keycaps, I definitely give them a thumbs up. ... show more
