I recently purchased AK-NB123H-CLR4 from Akia screens and paired this with my VAVA 4K ultra short throw (UST) projector (black version). I mounted this screen in my living room with two large west side windows (exposed to Arizona sun :)) and pretty much I have been using this setup as a replacement to my living room TV. After using for a week, I can confidently say that (with little ambient light control during afternoon direct sunlight) this screen worked perfectly fine for watching movies (even with night scenes with low light). I’m happy with this purchase and recommend this screen AK-NB123H-CLR4 to pair with UST projector with little light control. Setup was easy with little help from my wife, I was able to mount this screen in two hours from opening the package to mounting on wall. All the required hardware was included and no wrinkles at all, it came out very nice.

Let me start off by saying WOW, the CLR4 made so much difference. I honestly didn’t think I was going to see much difference just by switching screens but man was I wrong. I normally don’t care to leave reviews but I spent hours researching many over many days since they are so expensive and finally pulled the trigger on this one so I hope this helps save someone else time. Let me tell you it’s worth every penny and compared to some other brands the price for the CLR4 was so much lower while remaining the same or better than the other expansive ones. They have other lower priced ones but if you want it to actually be worth your money CLR4 is the way to go for an extra $500. Works great in the day and night and I have a huge window right next to it so it’s very lit and yet it looks like a normal flat screen TV. My only regret is not buying this sooner. I do want to be clear though the building of it takes 4+ hours. If you do it too quick you will damage the screen. I took my time with it and while it looks intimidating at first it’s not complicated. I would say the hardest part is being super careful unrolling the screen and making sure you don’t scratch or damage it. My advice is prep an area on the floor that is clean and flat use the sponges they provide underneath. Build the frame at a separate location and then lay it on top of the screen when it’s ready.

Followed the provided instructions, which were barely comprehensive, but was able to follow them step by step and the screen was warped from the middle. Issue seems to be stemming from the spring install, has to be done in a specific order all of which were followed. After install ites been about 10 months and the screen is decent, it does block the ceili g light, although is dims the laser projector and its colors which already suffer deficiency compared to soemthing like an oled so it hurts the hdr and dolby vision making it incredibly dim. But the warped center and there is a frame thats ridiculously flimsy, the wall mounts are terrible quality as well. Everything less the screen are of very poor quality, including the provided instructions. I would NOT purchase again, and i recomend wholeheartedly against buying this product.

Was really well packaged, but parts seem to not fit together properly. Frame went together well, fell in the marks they provide for proper fit, but center support bar is too small and so far springs ripped 2 holes through the grommets. Will see how it looks when finished, but most likely to be returned for a different product. Edit: changed to a 4 star. The product itself displays a wonderful image. The installation process is not that easy. Pre-installed grommets would do wonders.

I have been using this projector screen with Optoma P2 ultra short-throw projector for about 9 months and loving it. Until it developed wrinkles all around the border a few weeks ago. I followed the assembly instructions very carefully and correctly installed the screen. The wavy patterns are not very noticeable in dark scenes but more pronounced when the screen is brightly lit. The pictures don't really do the justice but the wrinkles are quite noticeable especially when you get close. I understand that this screen is not supposed to be top-of-the-line quality, but for this price, I would have expected a higher quality. Update: I contacted customer service to bring up this issue, and they were very helpful. Right away, they sent me additional springs to straighten out the screen and the issue has been resolved. I have adjusted my star ratings accordingly.

I put this together by myself. Took two days and a lot of empty space. I actually enjoyed making all the measurements and building it. Best instructions ever!! Whoever writes these instructions needs cloned so they can write instructions for every company. I cant express it enough. If everyone wrote instructions like this, the world we be a greater place. It definitely rejects ceiling light....but some shadows hitting it perpendicularly still show. I used this with the Optoma Cinemax P2....which is one of the brighter projectors at 3000 lumens. I had no issues watching shows in daylight with a window right next to it, open blinds and all. Regardless of how bright it is, it still looks better with the blinds closed and lights off. Great screen for the price!

Great screen, it is much better than my white screen. Definitely recommend two people to install it. The instructions should be improved as they are confusing for some steps. And watch out when you install the springs, there was one spring cause a small damage of the side of the screen but it does not affect the front side. Hope it can last long enough.

First time using the projector screen and we love it. The quality is very good and as you can see, it's very clear and better than we expected! It feels like watching in a movie theater and the design is so modern that it gives a nice look to the room.
