I’ve been really impressed with my AI Volt 1600 watt generator. From the moment I took it out of the box, you could tell it was a quality product. Everything about it felt well built, from the plastic housing to the overall fit and finish. It just had a nice, solid feel to it, unlike some of the cheaper generators out there. I mainly used mine for camping, and it was a fantastic little generator. It always started up, ran smoothly, and did exactly what I needed it to do. I never had any issues with reliability, which is probably the most important thing when you're out camping and depending on a generator for power. One of my favorite things about it was how quiet it was. Even sitting there running with little or no load, it was surprisingly quiet compared to other generators I've used. It didn't have that annoying rattling or cheap plastic vibration that you sometimes get with smaller generators. Everything felt tight and well put together. I also really appreciated the little details, like the built in engine hour meter and the vent shutoff on the fuel cap. Those might seem like small things, but they make a difference when you're using a generator regularly and keeping up with maintenance. The only reason I ended up moving to a larger generator was that I needed more power for my camping setup. The 1600 watt output just wasn't quite enough for everything I wanted to run. Otherwise, I would have been perfectly happy continuing to use this one. After trying a larger generator from another brand, I actually appreciate the AI Volt even more. The difference in build quality, noise level, and overall attention to detail is pretty noticeable. Sometimes you don't realize how nice something is until you try something else! Overall, I think this is an excellent little generator for anyone who needs dependable portable power for camping, outdoor activities, or occasional backup use. If 1600 watts is enough for your needs, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Great quality, quiet operation, dependable performance, and a lot of nice little features. Absolutely love this generator. It’s compact, lightweight, and powerful enough for everything I need. I’m using it on our Camper Van and it puts out enough power to run the Rooftop Ac as well as all the accessories. Wouldn’t believe how quiet this thing is. I love the fact that it has electric start plus a remote key fob so I can start it from inside the camper. Plus the fact that it runs on propane let it run all night long while we’re sleeping and keep the AC on. The customer service with this company is amazing. I bought a unit and it ran on gasoline fine but it wouldn’t run on propane. A few emails back-and-forth between the company and their tech department diagnosed that it was a defective internal part. They offered to ship out the parts promptly however we discovered it as a delay and they had none in stock. When I explained that I had a family vacation coming up and it would be very inconvenient to wait the 6 to 8 weeks to get the replacement part they simply sent me another generator which works perfectly. I couldn’t be happier with the product or the customer service that received I would give them six stars if I could. ... show more

**Complete garbage.** The unit arrived quickly. Be aware that it **does not include engine oil**, so you'll need to purchase that separately before using it. The generator started easily and ran for about 10 minutes before sputtering out and refusing to restart. I also noticed fuel pouring from the carburetor overflow tube. I shut off the fuel valve and let it sit overnight to give it the benefit of the doubt. The next morning, I turned the fuel valve back on, and gasoline immediately began pouring out of the carburetor overflow hose before I even attempted to start it. I tried starting it anyway, but it would not fire. To the company's credit, customer service issued me a full refund within about 12 hours of delivery. They also told me to dispose of the generator rather than return it, which says a lot about the product. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend AIVolt generators. Mine failed almost immediately and developed what appears to be a serious carburetor or fuel system defect. I'd recommend spending more on a reputable brand such as Honda, Westinghouse, or another manufacturer with a proven track record. ... show more

I wanted to write a review. I got the 4300 W generator. I needed a smaller generator for my pop-up camper. I have a 10,000 W generator but it is very bulky and big when I got this generator and it delivered two days ahead of scheduled. I was super happy about that came with a lot of accessories very well, pleased with the accessories that it came with. When I added oil and then the gas. The generator would not start of fault with it for two hours. I finally put myself in timeout. I studied the instructions also googled this generator, which is very easy to find. Then I realize I did not put enough oil in the generator that was user error my fault so I add more on the second crank it started right up. I ran my small camper on this one generator all night it ran my AC unit my lights everything I need it even my microwave. It was very quiet. I am very well pleased with this. I’m glad that has the future where if the all runs low, it will shut off and you will not be able to start it until you add all the light on the oil sensor. Will tell you if it’s low or good. Very well pleased with this generator not much to say about customer support no help from them unfortunately but my review is not on their customer support only on the generator ... show more

We were looking at picking up an inverter generator for camping and emergencies and this definitely fit the bill. We wanted one that did pure sine wave so the electricity was clean enough to plug in our sensitive electronics like laptops and phones. And another big plus that we wanted one with an eco mode that would throttle down and ramp up the engine depending on the load so it was as efficient as possible and this has both those features. The instructions were easy to follow and they did a good job of adding a warning tag making people aware to put in the oil before starting the generator (I've added a picture of this tag). After using the inverter it worked just as expected and ran well. Another thing to note which is probably obvious to most but you want to put this in a well ventilated area or else the CO2 sensor will trigger (a very nice safety feature). ... show more

We have power outages pretty often when the weather gets bad, so I wanted something to keep around for storm season. I’ve tested this out and it runs really well and starts up without much trouble. It’s also quieter than I expected and light enough that I can move it around easily.

    • Not performing at advertised output

I purchased this generator as a backup for a very modest solar setup. Problem is, I wanted to power up a 50a LiFePO4 charger (output power to the battery 730 watts - input power not listed, but should be well under the advertised 1260 watt capability of the generator) , and it does not handle it. Also, I have a friend in another state that bought the same exact generator, and his performs in exactly the same manner with a 50a charger (different brand of charger).
