We have had a feral cat that we began feeding in April or May of this year. We live in Florida and though we don’t have crazy winters it does get cold for the wild things. Not to mention the amount of rain we get. We got this feral cat house less than a week ago. We loved it immediately. My husband is an airplane mechanic and a tough critic. He thought this product was well designed, well made, easy to put together and overall great quality. The roof and “front door” overhang have shingle like material and they even thought about the seam in the roof and provided a cap so that water doesn’t leak through. We started feeding Warren (the feral cat) on the covered “deck” part so he would get used to going up there. Within a day he would use the stairs occasionally. But today was pure victory. It is raining today and will continue to rain. Warren actually got up on the deck, sheltered and promptly went to sleep. This wonderful product allows us to provide safety and shelter for our 4-legged friend and still allows him his outdoor wild self. We love this product!!! Thank you. ... show more

My pup loves the new look out tower. It was easy to assemble and is the perfect height for the window. There were a few issues. Some of the pieces were chipped or cracked. The stairs were not wide enough for my pup, so i took them out and put some of the other stairs I had for her there.

I wanted some escape place for my little tuxedo cat in backyard. He loves to many with my Labrador dog, but she (the dog) sometimes plays too rough. Plus, I am not sure about big pray birds here in FL. So, this little structure came perfectly packaged and in excellent condition. It was was to set up. Instructions were very clear. This was very frustrating. I had to rely on my whits and problem solving skills to put this together. The top floor, for example, I had to remove the peice of wood that was holding the floor together for it to fit flush and flat. That little strip of wood was not on the correct place, nor was it straight, so the floor would not go in. The stair peices were backwards, or upside down, depending on how you look at it. A lot of pre drilled holes were off or not there. Thank goodness I've built enough furniture I was able figure it out. Would not buy again, I wouldn't use this as an outside home for any animal. I got thus for inside my house to keep the dog from eating the cats food. It works. So I guess I'm happy-ish. Feel it's overpriced considering all the extra time and modifications I had to do just to put it together. I don't know how easy it will be to clean, it's rough wood, not smooth at all, so I think it may shred paper towels and probably snag rags. ... show more

If there was a 4.5 star option, I'd choose it. Overall this little house is pretty great, there are 3 or 4 others sold on here that are identical but cost nearly twice as much and I couldn't imagine paying g mire than this for what I received. The directions for assembly are very straightforward and this can be completed in about a half hour by one person so don't be intimidated. There are 18 pieces to this not including the hardware (but all hardware is included). The fit and finish isn't perfect, a lot of dowels were crooked and honestly if I did it again, I would add glue to every joint before screwing it together. Once the house is complete, it feels sturdy for the most part but I suggest gluing for piece of mind. Like said, overall I think it's perfectly fine for our little outdoor cat. He's very chill and very gentle. I'd be a little worried if he rough housed but he doesn't. The house is not insulated and the floor doesn't fit so I'll have to modify it but it'll help him through the winter for sure! ... show more

Easy to assemble and our dog loves it. Perfect size for our 10 lb pomeranian. She uses the stairs now after we added carpet to it to make it easier for her. Can't wait to decorate it for every holiday!
