I'm new to this whole Air Soft craze. My kids were actually the ones who told me about this. I began playing with them and didn't have a helmet because I'm the "tough" dad and didn't need it until I did :-). After receiving a nice welt on my upper cheek bone near my eye, I decided to get some gear. I don't have any other to compare it to at this time, but this has been working great for me. I really liked this set because it came with everything I needed all in one purchase. Everything is holding up well and I haven't had any issues with any of the gear. I would recommend based off first time use and the protection I have received.

For under $30, you are getting a helmet, a gator, and a pair of goggles. This is definitely a good value for the price. Now let's get into each item in more details: 1. Helmet Helmet is decently made with impact absorbing foam inside. Fitment is good and comfortable on a large head. Strap is adjustable and will accommodate most head sizes. Keep in mind this is a value oriented item, so don't expect $100+ quality and functions. 2. Gator Fabric on the gator is soft and feels like any other exercise clothing. It has black MC pattern and works as a neck protection. It is comfortable to wear. 3. Goggles I did a test on the strength on these goggles (see pictures attached). At point blank with a 2.5J 0.32g bb, lense did survive with a visible scuff. It will protect you, but I would question it's long term durability. I would suggest purchase better eye protection. Fitment wise, it was comfortable to wear and had soft foam padding to contour to your face.

This helmet set is definitely more than enough protection for airsoft. It does have some spots to attach tacticool toys like flashlights, nods, and things like that. The inside of the helmet is fully padded which thought was a nice touch. Very comfortable and does provide some protection. The goggles fit my large head no problem and have vents along the perimeter to help cut down on fogging. I like the balaclava quite a lot. It is made from a mesh material that allows for moisture to evaporate. Can be worn in warm or cold weather. It comes in a variety of camouflage patterns and looks great. The whole set looks like something from call of duty. The helmet does seem pretty well built and should be able to last a few airsoft seasons. Keep in mind this is not a real military helmet and is not rated as such. It is definitely for airsoft and cosplay purposes. That said, the padding makes it very comfortable and the straps hold it in place well. It looks great. I like it and will recommend it for these purposes.

This is my first helmet so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, I think this is a good starter set. The helmet seems to be a medium size, and it fits me okay from front to back. However, it is quite loose from side to side. I prefer this because I can add my own padding kit to make it fit better. The helmet itself is hard foam lined under the shell, so it would be better to wear it than not wear it at all. I chose the one with the helmet cover instead of goggles. The cover is pretty decent, and the face cover fits well and keeps dirt and dust out of your nose. All the accessories I tried on it fit well too. This is a very good budget helmet kit.
