  • Cheap or Faulty Handle
I purchased this rope from Amazon in May, early in the season so I was not able to use it much due to off and on weather conditions for skiing. Toward the end of June, only our third time using the rope, the handle collapsed while pulling a skier out of the water. Unfortunately, the amount of time to return the item on Amazon Prime had expired by now. so I am out of luck for a refund or exchange. I am giving this a rating of 2 because the quality of the rope and ease of changing rope lengths was good, just a handle that was either faulty or the design and materials are weak. I hope this is a fluke flaw for the sake of the company. I AM UPDATING MY REVIEW AFTER DEALING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVEN THOUGH MY RETURN TIME HAD EXPIRED WITH AMAZON, DUE TO MY SITUATION, AIRHEAD REPLACED MY PRODUCT AT NO CHARGE. SINCE I UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY PRODUCT CAN HAVE A BAD OCCASIONAL BATCH, HAVING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE CHANGES EVERYTHING. I AM UPGRADING MY REVIEW TO 4 STARS SINCE I REALLY LIKE THE PRODUCT WHEN IT FUNCTIONSBAND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS WHAT SHOULD BE EXPECTED. ... show more

  • Awesome rope!
I wasn’t sure about the radius handle but wow! It’s so comfortable. I can slolumn ski for 10 minutes straight and my arms don’t even get sore! Handle doesn’t quite float and the way- maybe a foot beneath the surface but still and awesome rope!

  • Updated review after 2 years
After 2 years ams a failure, I am editing my previous raving review of this rope and handle. Overall I think it is a great value for the average user. An aggressive slalom or course skier may want to look elsewhere. It is an aluminum handle with a great grip. (Yes it does sink, but floating handles in my opinion mean wood construction and that's not good because aggressive skiers easily break them.) After a short period of use, my handle shifted in the bridle so the handle was a little crooked. This seems to be a common problem according to other reviews. My line broke in the handle loop after only 2 summers of use so I question line quality. Pros: -The hard rubber tractor grip is great -Inexpensive - 8 section line - good value for an average user Cons: -suspect line quality/life - problems with handle shifting in bridal assembly slightly once broken in. I am changing to 4 stars because is is a good value for most (average) users. For competitive skiers, I'd rate this as 2 stars. ... show more

  • Great grip, but handle folded like a house of cards under heavy slalom load.
I really liked the curved handle with large diameter (~1.125" OD) traction grip. Though I did not use the 70' sectioned rope (just too skinny), I actually liked the stretchy 5' handle rope, as it seemed to ease shock loads from slack at the turn balls. Without a doubt, it was the most comfortable set-up ever for my elbows. It is obvious that this handle and line were never meant for short line slalom, but a friend of mine bought one and I really liked the grip; so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, the handle folded when I hooked up after 2 ball yesterday. I let go under some serious load and the handle flew past the boat. It seems possible that it could have folded onto my hands (horrifying thought), but frankly, I didn't notice until the boat got back. Please consider this a light duty handle / line; really not suitable for what I was using it for (skied with it maybe a 2 dozen times, 170lbs / skiing 34MPH at 28 off). Handle didn't show any sign of wear, but 5' rope got easily frayed. Aloha ... show more

  • Good rope for the price
Like the different sections of length. Work well for changing from tuner to wake board. Would have like the overall diameter of the rope to be larger. Don’t fell comfortable pulling more than one maybe 2 people on a small tube.

  • strong enough to work as a rescue rope
Have not used it to ski yet but used it to tie up 2x and then no joke rescued two boats with this rope. One guy told me his boat was 5300 lbs pulled him against the current at 5mph to a dock. This rope is plenty strong and can’t wait to use it to actually ski next time. I got my good karma points in first. ... show more

  • Eager to try it out 😊
Bought this for my son for this coming summer and for the price NO ONE can compare. Definitely recommend Thank you all so much ❤

  • Handle doesn't float.
The rope is fairly standard with the added convenience of length sections clearly marked. However, the handle sinks and takes the rope with it... not real convenient for kids learning water sports. It fell under our prop, luckily we noticed it before taking up the slack.
