Our previous one looked identical but had a plastic coated metal cable. It ultimately got wedged above the gear and stuck in a position. This replacement one we bought is a woven rope (nylon I assume). It does not have the same issue. It’s worked like a charm. It also floats so it doesn’t fall under the propeller when we stop to pickup our fallen tubers.

Works like a champ! I hooked the harness up to the transom eyes. Just make sure the the tubers paddle away from the boat and take up slack. The harness and the rope floats but I just tried to make sure it was well away from the prop. I'm just cautious. Great price and it's a needed accessory if you dont have a tow bar or ski pole.

The media could not be loaded. Waited to review this until I used it for the first time. Great product. It clears the outboard motor and swivels side-to-side as intended. This keeps the rope from jerking hard when you go through turns, and does a good job staying clear of your motor. Highly recommend. I read some reviews that the boat-attachment clips were too small. I'm guessing that is an issue if you have very thick transom loops on your boat. On my boat (Lund) my loops are normal size (about as thick as a pencil) and the clips fit easily without any issues. This is a real review, I am not paid for my opinions.

Does it's job and keeps the tow rope away from my outboard and propeller. A harness like this is a must if you are pulling tubes or skiers behind a boat with an outboard. The rope floats, and has good visibility in the water. Has been durable and dependable. The quick connect is very nice to quickly attach tube ropes. The clamps that attach to the transom u bolts are heavy duty, but I had the same problem as some other reviewers and the locking arm on the clamps would not fit around my transom bolts. I used an angle grinder to shave the arm back a little and now it fits securely. Somewhat of a pain.

This worked exactly as I hoped it would. Its a simple device that clips on to attachments on either side of an outboard motor. Then, a ski rope can be attached to the end of the red plastic thing--it centers the tow rope and distributes the force on either attachment point. I use this to pull both skiers and tubers, and it works well for both. One thing that is different from the last one I had is that the red piece has a pulley on it and "rides" along the rope that is hooked to either attachment point. Although this aids in center the tube or skier, it has the result of making it slightly harder to "swing" a pulled tube from side to side which some people like. If I could make one change I would make the hole on the red thing larger to make it easier to hook up thicker rope to, but that's not enough to dock it stars.
