I did not even want to rate this a one star but I had to in order to write this review to warn others. My son was on this tube today and when it flipped the lining hooked around his head and nearly broke his neck. It burned his neck very badly and now serve bursing is forming. They should have designed this with the lining coving the whole tube. Not to mention it doesn't have very good drainage so the water fills and you need one heck of a strong person to dump it over. Also, after one ride it will no longer hold air. Needless to say I will be calling amazon for a refund and contacting the company. I would never want this to happen to another child again! ... show more

This is not very kid friendly. First time using it yesterday. The stitching is so hard it actually cut my 5 year old grand babies arm! She came into the boat crying and blood was running down her arm. I could not believe this happened. We have had many tubes over the years and never had a tube cut anyone ! Would like to return but I threw the box out. I fear another grand baby will get cut! Definitely not an adult tube, geared for smaller kids .so ...Why would a kid tube ( or really any tube) have anything Sharp enough to cut someone?!, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! ... show more

This piece gets top marks from me in the 3 categories Amazon asked about for this review. It IS easy to inflate, DOES seem durable and sturdy. But I’m sorry to say that the basic design of this towable is extremely poor. It may not be clear in the picture, but this towable is comprised of 3 separate air chambers contained within a nylon mesh (I think) outer skin. The massive problem with this design is something that I should have picked up on without wasting money on this piece. Anyway, 3 separate air chambers means that water immediately fills the substantial voids between the chambers, causing the towable to plow through the water rather than skim across the surface. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to see that such plowing through the water is gonna put undo strain on everything from the tube’s outer skin and its connection points, to the ski rope and its connection points, and even the boat itself. Now obviously the boat will withstand the strain, the ski rope/ski tow may not, and over the long term I’m sure the poor tube’s outer skin and connection point will be pulled to shreds. There is a final insult. After learning that the tube will never work well due to its defective design, you decide to give up and pull it from the water. Good luck with that. The outer skin now contains untold gallons of water at 8.34lb/gallon. I’m hopeful that I’ll soon hear from Airhead offering up ways to make this trainwreck right. It’s much more likely that all I’ll hear will be crickets ... show more

We purchased this two person tube this summer. We inflated it, and then took it out. We had two trips around the lake. Both trip had an adult and a child. The tube was hard to ride in with an adult and a child. It leans way back and it's impossible to distribute weight that way. I didn't enjoy the ride. Later that day the tube was half deflated. The company was fine and it was easy to return. I would like to find a tube that an adult and child can ride. ... show more

After 1 season this tube held up well. It wasn't kept out in the sun so the UV rays didn't do much. This tube is really made for younger kids or smaller adults. I'm about 6 feet 200lbs and am just a little bit too big. Kids had a blast on it all year. One of them was only 3 and she loved it. It does have a tendency to fill with water and need draining. We've had a number of people go boating with us that weren't into wakeboarding or wakesurfing. They said if we had a towable, they would try that, so we went on a search to see what was out there. We decided to give the Airhead Mach 2 a try and we couldn't be more pleased. We've had it out on the water several times, this summer, and everyone has enjoyed it. It is relatively easy to inflate and deflate and seems to be holding up to the wear and tear just fine. We've had two adults in it and we've run it with a single person as well. It has met all our expectations. It must be towed rather fast; however, in order for it to expend the water which it receives in the two seated sections of the tube or when it goes slowly through the water. That water gets expelled when the boat pulls the Airhead fast through the water.
