We have 3 dogs and a cat. Our living room electronics (TV, surround system, etc) collects a LOT OF dust. I put this in the living room to help abate some of that. Its working really well. This air cleaner has a neat little trick up its sleeve - it has DUAL FANS and DUAL FILTERS. Even my "higher end" ones from Costco don't have that. Very neat. My only "fear" is trying to get new filters for it, since it's an obscure brand. Its definitely collecting fuzz and dust - clearly less collecting in the same room. The size rating seems about right - 15' x 15' room with 9 foot ceilings is about 2000sq ft which I could see this being rated appropriately for that. It has an "auto" setting (which I'm not entirely sure how that works, but it seems to keep the find in the lower setting). It has a timer. It has the ability to turn of ALL THE LIGHTS while its powered on, so its nice for having in a bedroom and running at night. It has 4 fan speeds. 1 is silent, 2 is QUIET, 3 is audible, 4 is fairly loud. Good overall air cleaner. Has no extra bells and whistles like UV lights for killing germs, or plasma wave for extra dust collection. It's a basic fan/filter combo - but for dust and pet fur/dander it's exactly what I needed in be living room. I plan to just let it run 24x7 on auto and change the filters every 3 months.

I received the Trucozie Air Purifier for Home Large Room Bedroom Up to 1937 Ft² in 1 Hr With Double-sided Air Inlet, Air Quality and Light Sensors, HEPA Sleep Mode for Allergies, Dust, Pollen, Pet Hair, Black. After unwrapping and getting the two filters out of their bags and putting them back in place, the first thing I did was set it on high. This air purifier puts out a good bit of air flow - partially due to the fact that it draws air from the front and the back. The second thing I noted is that it is much quieter than my older, much larger air purifier. Upon starting - a light will flash through four colors on the front and will then settle down to a solid steady color. This color represents the current air quality indicator (AQI). In auto-mode, this device will decide how hard to work based on this air quality reading. That is an awesome feature in itself. The fact that it draws from the front and the back is a bit of a double edge sword though, you cannot stick this flat against a wall, you have to make sure there is air flow on both of the sides of the machine. Given its overall compact size, this is not too much of a burden, but something to consider when you decide where to place it. This is going in our kitchen for sure, it works harder when we are cooking and more gently when we are done. It fits nicely under the overhang on our island, out of the way. I share the concern of other reviewers in that we do have to discover where to get replacement filters, but so far, I'm loving this air purifier. There are cheaper ones out there - but having the AQI built-in and the fact the machine uses it to figure out how hard to work is worth the extra cost to me. I rate this a good value.

It has a centrifugal fan (squirrel-cage, not bladed) which can move more air with less noise, pulling it through two multi-layered HEPA filters on the front and back. The HEPA filter size is 8"L x 10"W x 1"Thick which is not a common size. The replacements from Trucozie are about 60% of the entire unit price. The charcoal section probably depletes the fastest, so if the HEPA side is regularly cleaned/vacuumed and the use is mainly for particulates (dust and smoke), they should last a lot longer even after the ability of the charcoal to absorbing odors wears thin. The "On" button is red when off but plugged in. When touched, a low "ding" is heard and the active modes light white. Auto-start - the fan begins on high and pulls air through the particulate sensor and then sets 1 of 4 speeds matching the amount of particles in the air that it's measured. The oval LED on the front cycles through red, purple, green, & blue colors and stops on the color and fan speed for what the sensor has found. Red=dirtiest air. The quality indicator light can also act as a night light which if too bright, can be turned off by touching the "light" button. The 2 filters give this unit enough surface area when combined with this fan that can move some air to actually clean a room at a cost much less than the large hospital-type canister filters. It's shape and size also let it be placed in an out of the way location or easily fit in a corner. The negatives for me are *It has the large 24V power supply to plug in instead of just a cord with a plug. *It doesn't have an ionizer which would make it self cleaning for bacteria. *The replacement filter cost seems a bit high also at nearly 60% the cost of a new unit to replace 2. *A bit noisy on the 2 higher fan settings (but actually moves a lot of air if a quick clean is needed) 4 stars Update: 12 Nov 24 - the Trucozie replacement filter 2-packs have come down a lot in price.
