  • Ride Control = Safety
Color: Nylon Air Line Size: Up to 5,000 lbs Style: Standard Air Spring Pattern Name: LoadLifter
I've used Airlift 5000 air bag suspension kits before when i owned a heavy Lance slide in truck camper on a Chevy K3500 dually. I was very pleased with the ride stability they provided. I sold that truck/camper years ago. Recently i decided to buy a Capri slide in truck camper for use with my 2017 Chevy K2500, where weight and ride stability are more of a concern. I installed these Airlift 5000 air bags on my 3/4 ton several days before picking up my new Capri camper. The installation can be done by an RV dealer, but if you have the tools and safety jacks to support your vehicle, you can DIY. Install requires only basic tools (SAE and 13 and 14mm metric sockets - deep and standard, a 13 and 14mm open end wrenches, and a torque wrench). But SAFETY is most important.....be sure to use jack stands (i use a primary and a back up under my vehicle) and a good hydraulic lift jack. You don't need to lift the rear of your vehicle until the tires are off the ground, but only enough to give you more room between the axle and the jounce bumper housing. I followed the instructions provided by Airlift and checked off each step as I completed it. Airlift instructions did'nt mention a trick that i used to make easier to place the assembled air bags bags into position between the axle and frame. (See the pic) I compressed the air bag assembly and used a strand of bailing wire on each side to keep it compressed until i had it in position. Then, I cut the bailing wire and removed it easily. The air bags expanded into place on the frame above the axle. So much easier doing that than trying to force the expanded bag assembly into position! After that the remainder of the install was smooth, except for attaching the emergency brake line clip per the instructions......there was not enough clearance between the fuel tank and the frame to install the Airlift provided brake line clip. I had to secure it using a different method. After install, i followed the checklist instructions. Clearance, leak checks, check ride, and torque check passed. It took me about 6 hours to install, but I'm old, slow, deliberate and SAFE! Used the truck on an 800 mile trip to pick up my new camper. Had to endure high winds with 60mph gusts both from the headwind and from the side. The airbags were inflated to 35psi. The ride was level, stable, and i started to feel very safe and secure with the way the airbags improved the ride, even with the buffeting from the wind. These bags DO NOT increase your cargo weight rating. They improve ride control. If you have or are considering a slide in camper, I highly recommend these Airlift suspension kits. Same if you have a heavy tongue weight trailer that lifts your trucks front end. The Airlifts with give you a level and stable ride. ... show more

  • 5000lb set
Color: Nylon Air Line Size: Up to 5,000 lbs Style: Standard Air Spring Pattern Name: LoadLifter
Installed them on a 2019 Chevy Silverado High County 3500HD dually 4x4 to eliminate sag and bring the truck back to level. Pin weight is just under 4k and trailer is 18k. Noticeable improvements in ride, handling and towing. Matched these with Bilstein 5100 series shocks front and rear. 6 trip across the country and still going strong. Highly recommend ... show more

  • These should come installed from the factory for all hd trucks
Color: Nylon Air Line Size: Up to 5,000 lbs Style: Air Spring with Jounce Bumper Pattern Name: LoadLifter
These should come installed from the factory for all hd trucks. Installed easily on my 2015 Silverado 2500hd longbed. Took about 2 hours for the bags and another hour for the wireless one compressor. Made a huge difference when towing heavy loads. Being able to level the truck out with 15000lbs on the back helps just about everything. Steering is better, no floating. That white knuckle disconnected feeling went away after installing these. 35psi makes the truck feel as it should have from the factory when loaded. Why call any truck heavy duty and not include these is beyond me. Why does GM think we buy these trucks, for Sunday strolls? Headlights shine where they are supposed to. If you use your truck to tow and pull heavy loads, or if you have a long bed and bumper pull anything. Buy these and the wireless compressor. Be investment you can make in your work truck. I also installed the rear Hellwig Big Wig anti sway bar with these. Together it made the 2500hd a different truck when towing, and aired down to 5psi unloaded I can't tell any difference in the ride quality. I'll be installing these on my new silverado dually just as soon as it gets here. ... show more

  • Terrible packaging
Color: Regular Size: Up to 7,500 lbs Style: Standard Air Spring Pattern Name: LoadLifter
Instructions in the box are terrible. The box came barely taped shut with one strip of tape. Contents in package were thrown in with no padding so all the powder coating is scratched, some down to bare metal so I will paint before installing. Overall they are what I ordered and will do what I need them to do. Just wish some care was done in packaging so I'm not having to get parts repowdercoated or painted. ... show more

  • air lift is the better of the two air bags
Color: Nylon Air Line Size: Up to 5,000 lbs Style: Air Spring with Jounce Bumper Pattern Name: LoadLifter
Not the first time installing this on my truck first time was my 03 chevy 2500 hd . 5 yrs with out issue just bought a new 2019 chevy 2500 hd . instructions could be a little better when it comes to mounting the brackets on the air bags top one is a no brainer bottom one can be a little confusing but once on units slip right in . I did jack up the body from the hitch which gives plenty of room the slide air bags in . take your time running the air lines and use the zip ties . i used a little plumbers grease on the end the fits into the air bag . tested for leaks so far so good .A miust have item for towing RV or carrying large loads . i keep about 1000 lbs of tools and topper in and on the truck bed and these bring me where mi need to be and ride is solid . PS price kept going up daily not by much but it went up i was waiting to order when my amazon point hit my account cost me $2. more dollars by waiting don't know what's up with that guess X-mas ... show more

  • Great product but may not be compatible with all hitches
Color: Nylon Air Line Size: Up to 5,000 lbs Style: Standard Air Spring Pattern Name: LoadLifter
I started installing these and quickly realized that I was going to have to modify by BW Flip Ball hitch. The items shown in the picture are of a stabilizer that keep the rest of the hitch from twisting. This part of the hitch is about 1 inch above the top of the frame. We had to cut a notch approximately 1 inch deep and 3/4 inch wide to allow the U-bolt for the airbag to fit in the proper position. In grand scheme of things it wasn't terrible because we had a plasma cutter readily available. It was more of a nuisance having to take this part off of both sides and then reinstall them. I did immediately notice the difference in towing my fifth wheel. I also think my ride without the camper on has gotten better when I reduce the pressure down to 6 - 9 pounds. Great product! ... show more
