First car I received didn't come with the battery it was supposed to have. There was no option to contact the seller, so I did an exchange. Second car I received had all parts, but the gesture controller doesn't work. I'm not replacing a 2nd time - too much hassle. That being said, the main controller does work - though a bit clunky. The car itself is great and is tons of fun. My son loved it. Pretty much everything is as advertised. It goes almost any terrain, even grass if not too tall. and can move in any direction. Fun to play and try to do tricks. Even has this cool little steam function to make it look like smoke coming out of the tail pipe. Ordered this as a gift for my younger brother since he was looking for a new rc car anyways. Its a very interesting take on controlling an rc toy that was entirely new to me but cool to watch none the less. Reach with the glove seemed pretty close to the controller but was difficult for my brother to aim (hes 10yo) at times but he liked to use it anyways. When the battery began to get low on the hand controller, it was pretty obvious he needed to get closer to use it. Not a big deal, but something I observed while using it. Battery life is alright; not a very long lasting one but it does give the kid a little while to play. The controller works but is a little on the clunky side when steering and what not. The manueverabilty is entertaining, and it does do some pretty neat tricks. Something the kids really seemed to like about it as they played with it. Overall it feels pretty sturdy and has held up to some young boys general uses on and off over the last month. So far I havent had any parts break so no complaints there. I will say that it can zoom pretty quick so its probably best to use in a wide open area or outside. So far the 'tires' have held up well and have good traction. There were no instructions in the packaging; not that its the most complicated toy in the world, but it would have been nice to go over everything the first time with some in hand. I do wish it would last a little longer than it does but maybe thats a personal project at a later date for me. The controls aren't variable. It's on or off. You give it gas it's 100% in every direction to tell it to go in. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it does make it harder to control. I would assume that it will take younger users longer to get the hang of the all or nothing controls. Battery life is ok. The remote takes non rechargeable AA's. The car has a small rechargeable that you have to install. The hand gesture remote battery is built in. Both of the rechargeable batteries use the same usb cord, but have their own plug that you swap to charge them. Make sure you have a designated place for those bits or you are going to lose them. Is it fun? It can be with enough room to allow one to wrangle in all the 5150 throttle; outside or bigger rooms would be ideal. The lights are bright so night time use would be cool. 16 year old autistic daughters don't seem to think it's funny when you give them this as the car they get on their birthday. Not even a chuckle or a grin was seen. Who knew teens could be such a tough crowd. ... show more

This RC car is sturdy and cool-looking. However, our 18-year-old wasn't too impressed. He said there is no off/on button for the hand-held control box and he couldn't get it to work. He tested the thumb wrap remote and liked it but thinks it may be challenging for young kids. We both think directions should be included in the box as there were none. The lights are cool and the tires do get good traction. The car moves super fast so using it in a large open area is best. ... show more

This thing takes the cake. It’s nice to get something and have it work as intended. From the regular remote to the gesture control it really works pretty amazing. I had my doubts but it blew me away and my son absolutely loves it. He asked when am I gonna get my own. A+ Recommended

This RC stunt car is great fun and performs some pretty cool tricks. Its big wheels allow it to perform well on different terrains. I’m glad it came with a traditional remote in addition to the wrist one.
