I got XXXS for my kittens. I tried them on at 6 weeks and they could slip right out, but now that they are 11 weeks it fits perfectly. Doesn't slip off and there is plenty of room to grow. I would say for an adult cat they would probably be XXS-XS. My only complaints are the neck part is too thick so they can't put their heads down very far when wearing it, also the metal loops where the leash connects bang together every time they take a step if the leash is disconnected, so these harnesses aren't too good as far as them being able to wear it around the house to try to get used to it, more like they should already be used to wearing one and to only be worn when utilizing the leash. At least not for a cat!

This harness is so easy to put on and take off, no need to push our puppy's head through a hole. You just have her two front legs step into the leg holes, then pull the harness over her back and Velcro it closed. There's an additional plastic clip for extra security. We got this for our Cairn/Yorkie terrier mix puppy who is still only 3.5 lbs. The XXS fits her perfectly and she seems very comfortable in it. No concerns about her slipping out of it, everything fits securely.

I have a standard 10 year old Daushaund who is 13lbs, and the medium fit her perfectly. She loves her harness and knows it's time to go when she sees it. I love the little reflectors it had in the best for night walks. It is breathable and easy to put on by having her "step in" the little leg holes.

Unfortunately, I had to return bc it was too small/snug. He's a puppy and I could tell in a week or two, he would already outgrow it. So take into mind and be sure to measure! Otherwise, quality, color, etc was perfect!
