    • THE BEST BOOKCASE

The bookcase is wonderful! It didn't have no bulky packaging and wasn't too heavy, so I was able to move it just fine up stair and into my room. I was able to build myself, even though I will admit it took some time, but the steps are repetitive for the most part. Once you do the first four steps you pretty much repeat that. I will say in the instructions it ask for magnetic screwdriver for when you have to add the rotating part to the wood, as long as you're careful, you can just use the screwdriver that comes with set. You'll see there are some complains about how the bookcase struggle to rotate after adding items on there, but I don't have that problem personally. It works wonderful for me. I was even able to put a plethora of book sets, Funko Pops, and lights on the case that adds diversity to my room. As far as I can see it hold up pretty well, it was able to help me up, so it doesn't seem like it breaks easily. Also it's able to slide across a hardwood floor at least for it to be in your preferred spot. All in all, it is a good purchase although I will admit I waited for it to go on sale and would recommend you do the same to get the best bang for your buck. It any case, I think it's worth the splurge if you're looking in between different, cheaper, options. ... show more

So, for starters it is a good size. Hoods a lot of books. When you load it up with books it has some difficulty spinning. It needs a more heavy duty spinning base. It's a bit of a pain to assemble, not impossible, but you are going to be there a while. Look closely at your pieces! Many look alike but are actually very different. The media could not be loaded. I’m quite satisfied with this purchase! Assembly: It was relatively easy to put together. Some of the instructions needed to be read a few times to fully understand what was needed, but it was clearly written/illustrated and intuitive enough to understand. It was time consuming to find all of the small holes and ensure everything was lined up properly, so set aside your evening! To speed up the process, definitely use an electric drill for the shelves - it took so long to do by hand. Also, use a magnetic screw driver when fastening the metal rotation mechanism. Functionality: The shelves themselves hold more books than I thought. They are tall enough for standard hard cover books and fit about 5-6 meaty books in each shelf. It rotates smoothly, but of course the more books you place on it, the harder it will be to rotate. It’s very sturdy, and fairly heavy duty. Aesthetics: I love the rustic wood finish. It ended up matching perfectly with shelves I bought from Wayfair, that have the same sort of finish. Overall, a great buy and definitely recommend! ... show more

The directions were pretty detailed and all the pieces were labeled… it was ‘easy to build’ but it was time consuming. As with most flat packed items… they use allen wrenches… there are a lot of pieces to this. The tip.. If you have a hand drill make sure to have allen tip bits. In all honesty if you’re starting out in life and you find yourself ready to order a lot of flat packed furniture… drill + allen wrench bits will save you a lot of time. Also make sure you have a Phillips head magnetic screw driver. There are four small screws that you’ll need to put in a hole at the base where a magnetic screwdriver would have been handy. It’s doable without but would be helpful with. Overall I really like this and highly recommend! I have it on carpet and it IS still sturdy. It rotates well… and holds most books. I opted to not put in my oversized books because it looks weird… Best of Luck. ... show more

I bought this bookshelf when it was on a great sale in hopes to have a cute and stylish bookshelf that is great for the small space I have. I share a small bedroom with my husband for our desks and hobby area and I needed a small bookshelf that fit a lot of books that would fit in the small space we have. This is perfect because it is nice and tall and fits almost all of the books I have currently. The only books it does not holds is larger ones. The shelf rotates so you can use all sides and has a flat surface up to to use for storage or decorating. Highly recommend this if you have a small space and need book storage! My husband put it together and said while it was time consuming because of how many parts you have to put together, it was pretty easy to solo build! ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised at how many books this holds! It took about an hour to put it together by myself. The instructions were very clear and the manufacturer took great care to write in distinctions to look out for with the various parts (ex: how there are more holes on one side of the shelf versus the back so you are sure which side should be placed down). It came with a small screwdriver that worked fine for everything except a couple small screws. We ended up using our longer driver with a magnetic tip to help guide the smaller screws in place. There were some spots/dirt that looked like it got there during packing. Not a huge deal and wiped clean. I love the versatility and space saving! ... show more

It is a very nice bookcase, just what we wanted for our sons room. Heavy and very sturdy, works very well but it was a terrible chore putting it together. The directions are all pictures, a couple of them had the pieces on backwards and if you don't line the first boards up correctly the shelves will not be straight. There are a dozen holes in each shelf and it is basically trial and error as to what holes to use for the cross boards. Need better directions, never had problems putting anything together like we did with this. ... show more
