This is. A great item. Simple and cost effective. The directions are a little confusing for those who don't know wireing. But it's a simple Install. Easy programming and operation. Now here are a few things that may help you. If the power fails or you have to take the system off for any reason the programming is not lost. It is programmed until you change it. With this system it keeps the lock (magnetic lock) on all the time. If the power fails it releases. The term fail unsecure is what this is called. But if you have this system wired to a plug and get a ups battery back up or a battery back up kit it will keep it secure. I have ordered 5 of these and many others and this is one of the better ones for the pricing and operation. Worth the money. You can change the type of lock used to secure the door and even add a wireless remote to this system. I recommend this item and seller.

Overall good, everything works the key cards and fibs were all programmed and the instructions got it working but there’s a information deficiency in the provided instructions. Only three of the 12 wires ( 5 if you connect a bell ) are used leaving some features nonfunctional or unused without better documented instructions. Such as how to set so that a card swipe AND pin pad entry are required for entry and the functions of the other unused wires are left a mystery I searched for a document page but there’s many iterations of this hardware and they don’t all have the same user procedure to program or default codes Also you’ll need 12 volt wire and angle brackets or z bracket with additional hardware to install on a door it’s not included.

Was wondering why there were negative reviews on this product. Once it is installed, it works like a charm. It does requires much work to get it installed properly and the spacing between the steel bar and the magnetic coil is very tight or the bar will not get attached. After several adjustments, got it to work as well as the control keypad and fob access. Modified a waterproof 2 gangs electrical outlets to hold the keypad and it works good having the keypad external to the door. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I couldn't get the release button to increase the opening time though, it is defaulted to 3 seconds and it is a pain to have such a short time intervals without having the ability to increase the opening duration.

So for $85 I was very apprehensive in getting this for our companys secure office. I figured it might be poorly made and fail under heavy use after a short time. I also was not sure if this was something I could install myself or if I would need a contractor. I am pleased to say this has well exceeded my expectations on both ends. Installation take a little know how and tools, but I was able to install it myself and it looks very professional. The magnet is extremely powerful and no one has been able to just push it open. While the keyboard may seem a little "cheap" it has held up perfectly fine under heavy use, and the cards I ordered were so easy to set up. In the past 6 months it has worked without flaw or missing a beat in our busy office. I plan on getting another one soon for our other locations.

The only downfall is the instructions, wiring wasn't too bad. programming the key fobs was a bit of a challenge. However, getting past all that... These are awesome! Especially for the price. My house has two entrances and I put one on each door. Now no one gets in without their own key fob or someone "buzzing" them in.... I took it to another level and hooked them up to a RS232 port on an old computer I had laying around. now that computer logs the time and date every time one of the doors are unlocked. Pretty Cool!

1) No instructions. 2) wire from ground on controller was missing. 3) After completing wiring and installation (upon entering code) keypad controller would greenlights (door was supposes to unlock) but about 70% of the time magnetic lock wouldn't release (I had to grind out bolt on outside of door to get into locked space). 4) Fixed it all with a 1 Gang wireless WIFI relay switch to turn off power to door and unlock the magnetic lock. This is a great lock idea if it worked. The magnetic portion of this setup works great!

This is a lower end type Security & Surveillance RFID door quick access type working System. Can put a door bell in and many exit door bottoms if you know what your doing. If you have some electrical or electronic work. This will be easy to figure out. But I say that if your are a Business looking for a Security & Surveillance RFID System this is not for that type of workings. You want something more durable.
