This app was great for the first week or two. The problem is I can’t seem to access Google play store on this device no matter how much time is wasted fighting with settings. The audible app worked when I gave this to my son for Christmas but the app that came with the device is now outdated and I can’t update it without accessing the play store. Maybe this could be resolved if I used an android as my main device but I seem to be stuck in a loop and can’t use this device for what it was purchased for. It’s now a light up paperweight.

Absolute hit with the granddaughter age 9! You can customize it for the kid and take off apps you don’t want. Worth the money. Watch the video on how to put music on micro sd card or you will drive yourself nuts.

This is a great simple Android-based device with an app setup and variety geared for kids, yes - there's no built-in app store or anything, so you're initially limited to what is on the device, but there's a good amount here - it can play music that's transferred over via USB or can access Spotify, Audible, Apple Music, even read some Kindle books on the small screen if you want. It does all that baked-in stuff well enough, and it's a fairly decent value, except for the microSD card that comes with it. The device itself has 16GB of internal storage, then a 64GB microSD card is included to bring that total up to the listed 80. The quality of that card, however, is poor - I wouldn't rely on that for anything. Luckily, you can get a decent (reliable brand) 64GB microSD card for about $10 nowadays, but that is additional cost - but well worth it, and it'll likely perform a little better than the cheap included one, too. Where I found this to really shine was with some tinkering. It's totally possible to sideload an app store or individual apps with some technical knowledge of Android devices, and from there it can be tweaked and customized to meet your needs even better - just something to be aware of should you choose to go down that road, though I'd assume that that would mean abandoning any chance of getting any technical support for this device, such as it is. Just an option to be aware of. For my money, it's a decent little device that offers even more than what it claims if you want to put a little more into it. Here's hoping it holds up over time.

Couldn't get YouTube or YouTube music without being connected to the Internet and using the internet. Without being connected to the internet, it is kinda like to old iPod touches.

It’s hard to keep all our kids music sorted from ours and this makes it worlds easier! We can use it to connect to speakers for parties, their karaoke machine, or even in the car! It’s easy to use and connect. The kids even enjoy playing music off of it if we don’t have a speaker. All in all definitely a great buy!

Absolutely terrible MP3 player. You cant download anything, cant log into a Google account and fhe Spotify only works for a few weeks with a free trial. I wish I could still return this thing.
