  • Great MP3!
Color: Purple
I bought these for my grandchildren (ages 5, 7, 9). These was a tiny learning curve since they aren’t touch screen, but they can all do it! It is definitely sturdy and has some weight to it-not cheaply constructed. I had a little difficulty installing music from my ITunes but once I put the songs into a separate file on my laptop, I could easily drag the songs to the MP3 device. The kids love them and can’t put them down. So far the battery life is lasting as expected. There are a lot of features but we’ve only used the music so far!! ... show more

  • Durable music player with quality playback
Color: Purple
This is a top level music player . The size of the device is just perfect for my needs . I can just plug it in to my PC for charging and file transfer . I can transfer individual music files or folders of music via copy and paste . The music playback is really good through my wired head phones . Many people scoff at MP3 playback quality , but I haven't had any issues with it ... they all sound fine to me !! With this player I can also play my flac files . During playback the player shows the album art image on the screen along with the file name . I think AGPTEK has been doing a good job over the years , constantly releasing newer and more durable music players . ... show more

  • A bit janky, but still better than other mp3 players in this price range
Color: Purple
So, to be clear, it's good for its price, but it doesn't measure up to the quality of older and better mp3 players. I'm going to be keeping it, but there are just some things that bug me. First and foremost on my nuisance list: this mp3 player doesn't show the artist of the song that's playing, and it makes it very difficult to see or find the artist, instead it displays (often incorrect) album art, which doesn't seem to be able to be deleted. Also, while it does have a shuffle feature and a "play only this folder" option... both kind of suck and don't work well, or at all. I had a Sony Walkman that died, and it was awesome - it was awesome at playlists and allowed you to search alphabetically - features that other mp3 players I've tried seem to be tragically missing (including this one). Then there's the lack of buttons, which means this mp3 player is impossible to operate by touch, and the couple buttons there are (the volume and power buttons on the side) seem a bit flimsy. Another major complaint is (again) with the software. The UI is pleasing to look at and not terribly difficult to navigate, but everything under the hood is just a headache. After plugging it into a computer, a prompt comes up asking you to choose between options - the only way to actually get the mp3 player to connect and allow you to transfer music, is to not select either of them, not press anything, and just wait. Then, after I decided to transfer a couple audiobooks - the player just lumped them in with my music. Fortunately there are folders, so I can get around playlists that way. Unfortunately, the transfer just lumps in "album art" files along with music, so actually finding the song you want is made unnecessarily difficult - you have to scroll forever, can't really organize of find your music, and have to deal with a ton of trash that honestly detracts from the experience - the album art isn't even applied to the right songs T_T. It still does seem to be above other mp3 players in this price range, but that's only because the bar is so low. Like, there's a heft to this that makes it feel like it's durable and better quality (even if I'm skeptical, as it already has developed a bubble on its front with less than a day of practically no use), and after a month of moderate use it froze twice and had to be reset with a paperclip. It also looks nice, and has features that others are lacking: bluetooth, radio, external speakers (even if they're quite weak), the ability to put it to sleep or shut down the screen without turning it off (thus minimizing the chance of accidentally pressing something and changing what you're listening to). ... show more

  • I think this is the perfect mp3 player for me
Color: Purple
I bought the purple one and the color is pretty much the same as the photos.I plugged it into my 10-year-old Macbook Pro and loaded all my songs in seamlessly. I love bringing my CD's and portable CD player around with me, but sometimes that is not a viable option, like when I am working out, hiking, and traveling. This mp3 player is pretty good. The menu is easy to navigate and all the settings are intuitive. Bluetooth pairing is fast and simple. I love that I can add songs to my favorites. It also allows up to 3 favorite playlist. I will be excited to utilize this feature to set workout and hiking playlists. I can choose by folder (exactly as they appear when connected to a laptop), album, artist, genre (did not try; I do not intend to use this feature at all), favorites, or all songs (shuffle option available). Album art display correctly when there is one. It recognized the album and artist names accurately. I even like all the wallpaper and screensaver options. There are a few features that I have not tried but seems cool: pedometer (and step history), alarm, and stopwatch. My ONLY complain is that the level 1 (the lowest level) is far too loud when using the wired earphones that came with the mp3 player. But this is not an issue when I paired it with my Sony wh-ch720n, which allows further volume adjustment. If you have earphones or headphones that has volume feature, this will not affect you as well. I had a Sony mp4 player for many years before it stopped working due to my own negligence. I would still choose the Sony one over this if it worked. But since Sony doesn't make the one I had anymore and the options in their website are extremely expensive, I consider this mp3 player as a strong alternative to my old one. This mp3 player checks all the boxes for me based on my needs. I recommend this mp3 player if you want something cheap, functional, and easy to use. ... show more
