  • Perfect
Well packed…wonderful

  • Not bad for the price
I needed this for a gig with my jazz group. The sound is pretty decent, the 2 bells are about a minor 6th apart, from an Ab to a high E. These seem a bit thinner than the ones at my school, so they might dent if you hit them hard with a bigger stick. The cheap little mallets they come with won’t do any damage though so no stars taken off. One thing, the bells can’t click together, so if clicking your agogo bells together like bbq tongs is something that’s important to you, look elsewhere. ... show more

  • Does not sound good
Bought this for a marching band to use for pep tunes in the stand. Our pep tune instruments take a lot of abuse and obviously don't have to have orchestral quality sound, thus my search for a cheap one. Alas, the tone quality of this instrument was shrill to the point of being excruciating and the bells weren't pitched properly. Usually the kids are fighting over who gets the agogo bell and no one wanted to use this one. I guess that's what I get for $14. Returned and bought a slightly more expensive one (Rhythm Band brand, ~$25) that sounds much better. ... show more

  • Very happy with this!
This was a surprise gift for my husband, and he was really happy with it. It has beautiful tones and is very lightweight and easy to hold. I'm looking forward to our next jam session - this will add a new layer of sound.

  • Good!
The tones weren't exactly the pitches I was expecting, but it's a great instrument!

  • Cheap bell -- split
DO NOT BUY THIS BELL! It split the second time I used it. (I am uploading a photo.) It's cheap, made in China, and not worth the money. By the time it split I was past the return window and now can't return it. :( Also, agogo bells are supposed to be able to be squeezed together to produce a different sound. (Look at some of the more expensive agogo bells and you'll see what I mean.) You can't squeeze these together. ... show more

  • Agogo Bells
I liked these bells. They have good tone. I bought them to use to compare them to an African gankogui in my music classes and it's perfect for that.
