  • Perfect ‘basic’ phone
Style: 48MB+128MB | 4G
Finally! A phone that I can give my kids. Just text and calls - that’s it. A radio and calculator. Works with Mint. Just swapped out the SIM card. The only trick was that I needed to adjust my iPhone settings to SMS so the phone received my texts. So if someone else is texting the ags phone with MMS it won’t come through. Easy to use and connects no problem. Screen is fine, although the texting wasn’t intuitive— like on the old Nokia phones—instead of hitting the number button for each letter you have to select each letter as you go. Hopefully we can figure out a better way, but my son will adapt fast. He’s been downgraded from an iPhone and he’s kinda bummed, but social media is too distracting. I’m very pleased with this phone bc the other dumb phones I bought had Facebook preloaded— and it was too complicated to unload, so I returned them. ... show more

  • won't charge even though the temperature is warm.
Style: 48MB+128MB | 4G
My T-mobile sim card works on this phone. OK for a few weeks. Charged ok. However, when I try to charge it recently, It comes out with this message "Temperature is too low. Charging will be stopped" Then it displays two tabs: OK and Exit. Then without pressing on anything, it turns off. I live in Hawaii and temperature rarely goes below 70 F. I would not recommend buying this even though its cheap. What good is a phone that works initially and then is totally useless. ... show more

  • MINT it works with MINT WIRELESS! YAY!
Style: 48MB+128MB | 4G
We just literally opened this package about 5 minutes ago! So I have no words to say about it's longevity... But I am overjoyed to say that it works with mint a less expensive phone carrier than T-Mobile! However, I'm to understand that T-Mobile basically owns mint or sells part of their satellite cement. I don't really know. All I know is that I have a working cell phone for my teen son that doesn't have internet. He is pleased, and I'm pleased! The images are grainy and you can't zoom in or out. I had an idea of this before purchasing it, but if photographs matter, then this probably isn't the phone for you. If I find it to be a problematic phone, I'll come back and update. But as of now, the phone works, and is receiving texts and MMSs and phone calls. Very easy setup! I only took up one star due to the quality of the photographs. The only reason the picture of the dog is so big is because I photographed it by pushing my camera in to that screen, but the text on the dog hands was not really not readable on this phone. It would be nice to have the option to zoom in, but I guess that would make it a smartphone ;) I'm happy, and so is my son. Thank you for creating a phone that's good for families. :-) P.s. The flashlight is pretty bright, and we're pleased. :-) ... show more

  • Very Good Quality, Simple Phone
Style: 48MB+128MB | 4G
Exactly what I was looking for in a phone. Very simple with only the features you really need. Main features are call, text, a music player, and FM Radio. You don't need headphones for FM Radio to work, you can play it on speaker. There's also photos, videos, an alarm clock, a simple calculator and calendar, and a torch. The torch is very bright, I was very pleasantly surprised. This phone also has Bluetooth functionality. One interesting thing I noticed is that it has an outer shell for the battery compartment, as well as the outside of the phone. It's a very cool feature that I haven't seen before. Just be warned that the outer plate is very difficult to pry off, it almost feels like you might break it but it's very durable. The phone's build seems pretty high-quality and it is indeed rugged. I haven't dropped it so far, but from my short time using it, I do think it would survive and that the shell probably wouldn't take too much visible damage. The battery life is decent, not too bad. But I do feel like it loses that first bar pretty quickly even when not in use, so do keep that in mind. Something I did want to mention in case it helps somebody else is that you have to go in the files application to get the phone to properly recognize the SD card. You have to go into files, into the "MemoryCard" section on the right, and wait for the prompt where it asks you to format the SD card. Then select yes to get it to work. Formatting it on your computer will not work, the phone will not recognize the SD card if you do it this way. Took me forever to figure this out since it's not on the website or in any of the manuals. My only complaint is the lack of troubleshooting provided in the manual, this should be basic information. ... show more

  • Rugged, dependable, no-frills dumbphone
I've had this model for 2 years. I wanted a minimalist phone free from Apple or Android operating systems. My main concerns are privacy and preventing myself from spending too much time on an electronic device. This phone fit the bill for both criteria. The phone is supposed to have internet, but I've never been able to make it work. That's no problem for me, but it might be for others. AGM's customer service doesn't seem to speak very good English, so you'll be on your own trying to solve various problems. One HUGE weakness: the phone pocket dials 911. This happened to me twice in one month. I can't make it stop. All you have to do is accidentally dial a 9 or a 1 on lock screen, and the phone starts to log an emergency call. VERY annoying. No apparent way to disable this feature. It still happens on lock screen. This phone is advertised for the elderly, but in my opinion, it is NOT senior citizen friendly. The operating system is incredibly clunky and counter intuitive. Again, that made the phone attractive to me, since I'm trying to keep myself from getting addicted. However, most elderly people (and frankly, many/most other adults) will pull their hair out trying to figure out how to add contacts, send photos, and even text. Over all, the phone has been great. I love the battery life, awesome speaker, rugged construction, and freedom from Big Tech. ... show more

  • Awful
Style: 48MB+128MB | 4G
I was expecting the texting function to be old school, where you press the buttons til you get to the letter. It is not this way. Texting on it is near impossible.
