My 5 year old absolutely loves this kit. As others have mentioned, the water bottle appears to be a quality product, with a latching top, and no straw. The stickers and gems are plentiful, and feature an assortment of mermaid and unicorn themed designs that perfectly suit her taste and personality. The problem is this didn't come with any instructions. I may be overthinking some of it, such as the tray. I mean, is it just for holding the gems? Or is there a specific purpose or a way it's meant to be used? But the other elements are tough for us to figure out. The applicator tool for example. I'm not sure what it does or how it's meant to be used. Do the gems go inside the handle? They fit, but how is that supposed to help put them on? Is the tip meant to be a scraper? Or is it supposed to be able to pick up the gems and apply them to the glue spots on the stickers? Speaking of which, the pre-glued sticker spots make it hard to handle the cup during the assembly process without inadvertently putting your hand where the glue spots are. This means they will lose their stickiness more easily, and they're not that great to begin with. There are two types of gems included. One has a sticky back and I think they can go pretty much anywhere you want on the cup. But the others, which are far more numerous, don't have a sticky back and are apparently meant to be applied to the aforementioned glue dots facing out on the large decals. This is a laborious and time-consuming process. Worse, the gems don't stay put. Maybe that's why they included a very small square of something red which I believe is some sort of craft putty. Problem with that is, due to lack of instruction I'm not sure how or where it's meant to be used. There definitely isn't enough for all the gems. And even if there was, it doesn't seem to offer much improvement over the sticky dots on the decals. If you don't utilize your own glue you're going to lose your gems. In spite of all this, or maybe because of it, my creative kindergartener still has had fun making and decorating her cup and will almost certainly be keeping the leftover supplies to use in future crafts.

My niece came to visit and was going to be stuck with adults for a whole weekend, so I wanted to have somethings available for her to do. This was the first she picked and spent time really planning her design. She was so proud of her finished product. We had one or two "gems" fall off over the weekend but once her mom went over it and made sure everything was pressed on well, I didn't see any more loss. It went home with them so I can't say how it held up to washing or if it would go into a backpack bottle pocket, but she loved the activity.

This was a great little art project that creates a fun, unique and personalized usable water bottle. I think it may even encourage the little one to drink her water because it comes from the water bottle that she designed. Win-Win! The bottle is a nice size for smaller hands which is nice. She rushed off with it after visiting so I didn’t get a chance to snag a photo but it really was super cute. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an easy to manage art project for kids this summer.

I wanted this for my granddaughter who will be visiting for a week and wanted something for her to do that would put her mind to work instead of the TV or her phone and this kit is perfect for that. The Bottle is nothing like a Yeti but it also is not just a cheap plastic bottle. It will withstand being dropped or hit against something. Has a nice flip top that snaps open and closes tightly and so far this one does not leak. The stickers are a foil like material and seem to be pretty sticky as do the diamond gem areas. I am not sure yet if the stickers and diamond gem areas will remain in place after a few washings. I will update after it gets decorated and some usage. Update As of July 3, 2024-- The bottle turns out really cute with a lot of bling and looks great--Unfortunately the gems on the bottle do not stay on. They need heavy duty glue for the to be permanent. You pick up the bottle and 3 or 4 fall off each time.

I purchased this water bottle craft kit for my daughter for her 7th birthday. I really like that you can place the stickers where you want and then use the glue and gems to decorate. The stickers have circles for where you should place the gems. This item is labeled for 3+ but I don’t think that I would have anyone under 6 attempt to complete the craft. Such a cute gift and great value.

My niece was very excited for this activity. The tumbler is perfect for her hands and the colors and unicorn were right up her alley but the frustration she suffered trying to decorate this made this go in the trash. The gemstones and stickers are nearly impossible to get off the sheet and don't stick to anything once they're off. I don't know if we got a bad batch or what but even the adults in the house struggled to pick pieces off and by the time we did, our niece already left the table to go back to an easier-to-use toy.
