I had beautiful thick hair but I was looking to change it up and straighten my hair at home. I read the reviews and was ecstatic to try this product. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! With regret I state that this product has damaged my hair. 1. The smell was unbearable even after usuage and washing my hair, it affected my breathing. 2. It completely changed and damaged the texture of my hair. My hair always looked healthy. Since using this product, my hair is dry and hard to comb or detangle. No matter the amount of shampoo conditioner or deep treatment I use afterwards, my hair remains extremely dry and looks damaged since. I am saddened by this. Ladies, sometimes it’s best to let the professionals manage our hair. I hope that by posting my honest review it can help save someone the hassle and/or regret. ... show more

The most important thing to know before purchasing is this will change your curl pattern. I didn’t experience any burning or itching but don’t apply on scalp. The directions were very easy to follow and I’m very happy it came with gloves.
