There are some things that you can't do with it, and sometimes it doesn't catch the note you just played, but All in all, I like it a lot. Works better than I thought possible. Sounds great. Built in speakers, headphone jack, different sound modes, indicator lights all add to the experience. It is a lot like having a high end electric piano. All the function of the real thing plus some extra fun things. My kids both love playing it. Bought guitar more out curiosity but was amazed at the ease of assembly and that it was useable within minutes of unboxing. Has a lot of fun features that will encourage beginners and students to learn chords, scales and such without the grief of finger pain. What did Bryan Adams say? I used to play guitar years ago but have not been able to in years because of arthritis in my hands. I've been looking for a guitar I might be able to play with less hand pain and AeroBand guitar has been the answer! I can make chords and notes without needing the strength to hold the strings down on the fret board. The way this guitar is made makes it easier for me. Although it is well built,. It does not track well at all. When I played a major chord, a minor chord cam out then changed to a 7th . I returned mine and am now fighting with Amazon for my money back. Amazon customer service on this has been horrible.

The technology here is promising, but if you are truly wanting to learn proper guitar playing technique or are already a seasoned player, this type of guitar is going to frustrate you. The positives: It sounds great. It is indeed more comfortable to play. As a MIDI controller it works well, but there's a reason other guitar MIDI controllers use actual strings and not a digital fretboard. The negatives: It is clearly developed by somebody who is not a specialist in guitar technique. The capo and palm mute features will require a seasoned player to change playing technique (the capo works as a transpose function as on a keyboard or synth rather than a true capo, which will confuse guitar specialists; and the palm mute function has a bug where if one removes the cover it's a part of and puts it back on, the mute engages and requires rebooting the instrument to correct). The silicone-string fretboard is well-intentioned, but doesn't allow for fingerstyle tapping or note bending (another specialist frustration). Neither does it accommodate chords that require muting strings; all the strings sound and the fretboard has no way of detecting if a string is actually covered and should not be sounded. The "game mode" where a single string can be played to trigger an entire chord is good for games, but not for learning proper guitar chords and technique. Which brings me to the app—it still sucks. It requires a gmail.com email to register and log in (the "gmail.com" domain is hard-coded into the app; it gives an error if you try any other domain). I really wanted to like and keep this product, but in the end I have to send it back and return to one of my regular guitars (see the photo) and a true learning application like RockSmith to continue relearning the instrument. ... show more
