The air drumsticks are pretty easy to get the hang of, and while it’s not exactly the same as hitting pads, it still feels satisfying. What really stands out is how portable it is. I can practice anywhere—at home, at a friend's place, or even while traveling. I just connect it via Bluetooth to my phone or tablet, and I’ve got everything I need right there. The 8 different tones are definitely a highlight, and honestly, the sound quality is pretty similar to my e-drum kit. It’s not the same as a full acoustic kit, but it’s close enough to make me feel like I’m playing a real drum set. And having that USB MIDI feature is perfect for recording or even mixing with other music software. The pedals give me that familiar feel of a traditional drum kit, especially the kick and hi-hat pedals, which I really appreciate. Got these for my middle school son who is very interested in playing drums. Set up was a breeze, the pedals and sticks connect via Bluetooth to the little receiver, the package even has some in ear monitors to wear so your drumming doesn’t bother the whole house. The sticks feel good in the hand, and the tracking on them better than expected. Definitely have to calibrate them so all the different drums are where they’re expected to be, but that’s easy with the included mapping guide. You can even output from the little receiver to external audio (I plugged it into my Sonos 5 and it sounded great). You can connect it with GarageBand and record too. More than an adult toy, it's also a lot of fun!! Aerobaband.net is now also a so-called PocketDrum, which does not require any app to use at all and has no latency (at least perceived). The unit connects to headphones or speakers via a cable and it's ready to go. Performance!

This for my best friend's birthday. He recently got into drumming and it was a little hard to learn since he doesn't own any drums. But I found it to be a great way to practice. The setup is very simple and works well in the Aeroband app. Also, the setup is very smooth when paired with an external app like Garage Band. Hope he has fun playing it. ... show more
