Update: I am amazed and very happy with the purchase. They’re extremely light and provide sufficient force in the paddle on slight winds and against current and can take a bit of abuse! Just be very careful not to drop them when disassembled onto hard surfaces as the tubes may bend and therefore make it either difficult or impossible to reassemble this happened to me and made it slightly more pressed against the tube so there was actually less play but definitely was still able to disassemble with ease. This was my fault for not being careful and taking them out of their included storage mesh bag. Original review: I really like the color and look of it I have no idea if it is functional as I am new to pack rafting and wanted to get something very light and portable and this is perfect for that! I have no clue how it’s supposed to perform in water but I don’t intend going open ocean or whitewater rafting on this anyway so the portability and build is really good I attached pictures of the blades as I couldn’t distinguís them in the description photos.     • inexpensive paddle that is great for kids
This paddle is obviously cheap and quite flimsy. I would not recommend it for an adult. But for children, it's perfect. It breaks down into four pieces, but you can conveniently set it up leaving out one of the pieces such that the three piece kayak is the perfect height for my four and five year old kids. They sit in the front of the tandem and they feel like they're really helping out with the paddle. It's also great practice for them and they're really learning how to maneuver in the water with this light weight shortened paddle. ... show more

Nice packable lightweight paddles. I have used for packrafting trip and didn't mind lugging them. . I have smaller hands (<8" diameter) and the fit is great for me. I don't need to use gloves for a grip as others have mentioned, but I do typically use sun gloves which have grip built in. . These are pretty sturdy for being so lightweight and packable, but of course if you are rough with them it could compromise their ability to fit together. . Will update if any problems. ... show more

I got this becuase it was light weight and cheap but the quality is just awful. your gonna have to exert a lot more effort paddling with this one. If i could afford a better one i would return this low quality paddle. IMO your better off spending more and getting a decent one. remember the saying you get what you pay for. ... show more

We bought 2 sets of theses "Advanced Elements UltraliteLite 4-Piece Kayak Paddles." They are perfect for using with our inflatable packraft. They are very light weight coming in at 1 pound 9 ounces. They are easy to snap together and handle very well in the water. We have only used them on lakes and they are plenty sturdy for calm waters. They are small when stored in the bag making them very easy to attach to our backpack. We love these paddles. ... show more

Paddle is perfect for price. The blade is smaller than expected, but it works great. I used it with my Alpacka Pack Raft. The blades are plastic, it is light, it breaks in 4 parts. I bought it so I would not have to worry about breaking a carbon fiber one when traveling. I used it on class I and II Rivers. I would like the paddle blade to be bigger, but it works. I was really impressed with the fitting tolerences of the pole and where they attach. little to no play in the connecting pieces and it works with our without both of the middle pieces which is great for packing lighter or smaller frame bodies.
