I should have listened to those who put bad reviews. This book is absolutely useless, a waste of paper to print and paper to buy. If you don't know what electricity is then this book might teach you a thing or well...a thing. I absolutely hate how these types 0f books make it past printing. "Motorcycle wiring" is what you need to Google instead of buying this crap of a book. If you want to learn that Harleys came with different types of tail light and switch options then that's what this boko is all about. I wish I could reach into the writers pocket and give everyone who bought this crap their money back. ... show more

Very disappointed. I'm an electronics tech of average ability- I had expected information on circuits used in simple projects such as load equalizers, flashers, etc. and hoped for more advanced info such as data conventions on the HD diagnostic ports. I got neither. Every time he approaches the nuts and bolts for a topic, he chickens out and endorses an aftermarket product such as the Badlands flashers or Custom Dynamics tuners. Oh well, you pay your money and you take your chances. The only thing good I say about this book is a neophyte to motorcycles might find it interesting... but don't run out and buy everything he suggests unless money is a secondary consideration to you. ... show more

I think the title "Advanced Custom Motorcycle Wiring" is totally misleading. They should have titled this as "The Basics Of Electricity, and How To Customize Your Factory HD, With A Little Discussion and Explanation About Wiring A Custom Bike. I was expecting to learn the "Advanced Custom Motorcycles Wiring" techniques, as I'm wanting to learn the best way to wire my custom built chopper. This book left me stranded at the side of the road. All of the info in this book about wiring a custom bike is readily available on the net. Go to the custom bike forums, and you will have access to all of this info, and more. There's way to much misleading crap being sold as something it isn't...... ... show more
