First off, I received an open package with almost half of the things missing but Amazon and the seller sent me a new one within 12 hrs of my call. Awesome customer service! This set is pretty good and easy on the hands. Love the grip on the dumbell bars and the soft texture on the main bar. Weights are all plastic filled concrete but good quality, no risk of rust. The bars are metal covered with plastic also. It looks cheap and weak but its not. I max out the full 40 lbs and nothing has bent or anything. The sets are 20 and 40 lbs... this includes the weights of the bars too. Don't expect 20/40 lbs worth of weights. The only reason I took away 1 star is because the screw caps are plastic and don't really stay in place. They loosen and the weights start to spin. So if you're doing 20 reps, they start spinning after 10 lol but I do like them ... show more

So I had just received this today I already have to say that I am not completely disappointed. While the advertisement weight was 44lbs, actual weight of this set is 40.8lbs. Yes just 3.2lbs short of the desired weight. But it is good for the intended usage, except that the middle piece has a warp and throws off the balance. The dumbbell attachments unscrew with every curl. Overall the design and idea are great. The execution id say is subpar. I will be keeping them because my wife can use it herself but I wouldn’t recommend if your ocd will have you evaluate the entirety of the set. It also does not stay in place. ... show more

When using in the barbell version the pieces that screw in won't tighten so they wobble. Didn't seem safe at all, so now I've got to drag a heavy package to the UPS store to return.
