These wire joiners worked fine for repairing our electric fence. Easy to use and should hold up to being in the sun and rain. I do think the current price of $54.74 for a set of 50 is a bit high.

This joiner could not take 10 gauge wire so I had to use 12 gauge. When I got the tension up it stripped. I ended up running multiple wires and joiners to spread the load. Just buy the real thing !

These are invaluable for trellising and fencing work. They allow you to join a wide range of wires together even different types of wires, such as aircraft cable and solid wire. More useful as the fact that you can get the wires fairly tight if you put a pair of pliers on each of the cut ends and then just pull. Also completely reusable. You just cut the wire right as it enters and then pull it through the coupler. I used these on a large fencing project, but now that the project is done I’ve also found they’re useful for bundling kindling using wire. Wrap the wire around the kindling two or three times and then put both hands. Definitely a useful product to keep handy.

I was rather torn on these. They worked great for my need of a simple fence repair, but the product images and description are contradicting, plus the label on the item itself doesn't make sense. Images suggest 304 stainless, description says aluminum and zinc. It's zinc, I don't think it's aluminum (I could be wrong) and def not stainless. There is a section in the description that suggests it will work on 15.5 awg barbed wire but the wire thickness everywhere else is 10-14awg. The embossed label on them says 880kg/440kg...which is it? Other similar items list kg and lbs. If all you need is simple fence repair, it will do that. If you require the tensile strength, im not so sure, I didn't put a scale and come along on it, but I could with some effort pull the wire back out without using the release. If it were listed as just repair and was consistent I would have given all 5 stars, but the claims are ambitious and a little misleading, thus 3 star. It's not a bad product, just confusing and could lead to disappointment if you needed something it isnt.

This is a solid and appears to be well made. However, I wasn't able to use or test it. The gauge range as stated matched what my barbed wire fencing gauge is but with barbed wire being double strand, this item was not usable which was my error BUT I will say the second photo on the product page is a of a barbed wire fence so I assumed it would work so there is mis-representation of the product. I love the ease and idea of this wire joiner however I'm unable to provide an true functioning review of this wire joiner since I don't have an application to test them.

I misjudged the gauge I needed, so these are small for the monofilament trellis wire I'd intended to use them for. I was able to test it with some 12 gauge ground wire and it worked as well as one could want. I've used Gripples in the past and these seem just as good. Once you start to feed the wire, if you change your mind you've got to cut it or feed it all the way through, because the device isn't going to let go!
