Just got this stand today. I recently purchased a portable monitor and wanted to be able to have it elevated above my laptop screen, so I wouldn't have to be hunched over and I would take up less space if working somewhere like a coffee shop. I was a little concerned that the monitor would fit because my portable monitor is 15.6 in, but it looks great and send sturdy. It's heavy, so while it will make my backpack even heavier, I'm glad that it doesn't easily teeter over when in use. Makes tasks much easier and more fun

I'll start off as to why I did not give this stand a 5-star rating. I think there should be a rail at the bottom that would catch the iPad if it happened to fall off the stand. I grant you, it would be unlikely if it were to fall off. But a bit of extra protection would be good. I use it for a stand for using my iPad as a second monitor for my Zoom meetings. It is just perfect. I also use it to study my ukulele. Without it, I could not do nearly as well in learning to play. It is perfect for someone who plays music or is learning an instrument. I use an old ipad and just keep it on the stand. It makes a very useful tool for my tasks. It is easy to assemble. It is just the right weight. Easily adjustable and seems very sturdy. ... show more

Easy to insert your device in the secure clamping holder. Stays put. The stand has enough weight at the base that it will not tip over. The finish is nice, and the design is attractive. You can leave it out and it will enhance the look of your room.
