These dumbbels are easy to adjust but simply turning the handle when it is sitting in the tray. Each weight adds 5lb to the dumbbel. Some of my workouts require 2 different weights (medium & heavy, for example) and this system enables me to pause the workout for a few seconds while I add or remove weight. My only criticism is that the fixed weight at ether end is big. I have small hands and it can be a little uncomfortable doing exercises that require holding 1 dumbbell in 2 hands. As far as the dumbells go they work well. They are bulky for some moves amd you can't switch weights really fast (if you are using some kind of video/program) vs individual weights. So there are soem disadvantages over traditional weights. However for the cost and space saving aspect they are a great option. The reason I even got on here to review is for the awesome customer service. One of mine started to make a loose metal noise and the hand started to seperate from the weights. This was about 4 months after buying them. The company emailed me a video of how to take the cover off the side and sure enough it was a single loose screw causing the issue- fixed in 3 minutes. ... show more
